(SONG: Irresistable- One Direction)
When I got home, I quickly got into the shower and got dressed. I had only thirty minutes to get ready so I had to act fast. I put on a black flannel shirt with a red cardigan. I squeezed through my dark blue jeans and slipped on my high tops; put on a little mascara and eyeliner then winged it out on the ends. and braided my hair to the side in a fish tail.
As I was walking out of the door, I could barely hear mum ask where I was going. I turned around and she had come out of bed and was now a few feet behind me. I looked at her with sad eyes.
"Mum, you're not supposed to be out of bed. Here, I'll take you back to your room." I put my arm around her weak shoulders and noticed she'd gotten skinnier. I flinched at how boney she was at only thirty-nine years of age. "Mum, did you eat your supper?"
"Where are you going?" She asked again, completely oblivious.
"I'm.. I'm going out on a date." I replied, trying to play it cool.
"Really?" she said enthusiastically. Her voice was hoarse and weak but she managed to sound as excited as she could. "That's great, honey."
"Mum, don't talk so much. You'll damage your vocal cords even more."
"Okay." I got her back in bed and put the blankets over her thin body. I watched her as she dozed off into her sleep. Her pale eyes fluttered and twitched like they always did when she was dreaming happily. I kissed her cold forehead and left.
I was so late when I met up with Harry. If only she had stayed in bed, i would have been on time. Harry was standing by the checkout line looking worried. He wore a white v neck, gray jeans and, like earlier, his white converse. He looked so amazing, even without the blazer. He looked around and then looked at me standing by the door. His eyes flashed when he saw me, widening.
"Hello," he said smiling, walking up to me.
"hi," I said.
"You look wonderful." He slowly kissed me on the cheek. I was one of those tall, skinny girls. I wasn't much shorter than Harry, only by a few inches.
"Thanks", I answered blushing. I wanted to compliment him too; Harry, you look beautiful. But I couldn't say that; It'd be lame.
"Come on, let's get out of here." Harry said, motioning his head to the door.
We walked outside into the chill air. The sky had so many stars and not even one cloud. I though to myself, 'this night will be perfect". I got into my car and Harry into his.
As Harry was leading me to his flat, I had the radio blasting as I sang along to Whip My Hair.
"I WHIP MY HAIR BACK AND FORTH! I WHIP MY HAIR BACK AND FORTH! Just whip it-" I shut my radio off when we got to Harry's flat. He stepped out of his car and opened my door. He let out a hand and pulled me out of the seat. We walked to the front door; Harry opened it, letting me in first. I took a step in to find Niall sitting on the couch eating cereal and watching the television. He was wearing a red t-shirt and boxers. When he noticed me and Harry standing in the doorway, he got up and introduced himself.
"Hi, I'm Niall", he said with a smile.
"Hey, Niall. I'm Addison."
He opened up his arms for a hug. I looked down at his almost half naked body and looked up at his innocent looking face. I wrapped my arms around him and he squeezed me softly. We were all left standing there. Harry felt the awkwardness and brought me into the kitchen to get away from Niall.
"What do you want to eat?" Harry asked, shuffling around in the fridge.
"Spaghetti?" I said, with a hopeful smile. He smiled back and pulled out pasta from the cabinet. He heated up the water and put the pasta in the pot. While the spaghetti was cooking, we made small talk. When it was ready though, he strained the water from the pot and put pasta on two plates. He spread sauce over each plate and picked them up and motioned me to the living room.
