after period 1, i realised i had booked an appointment with the school councillor, i sighed. "hey kenma, i'll see you at lunch," i said, turning towards to the stairs. he gave a small wave and then proceeded walking straight down the hallway.

i entered the councillor's office, "ah, hello miss tetsuro," she said, giving a warm smile. i sat down, gently placing my bag on the floor. "so how have you been?" the elderly lady asked, spinning her chair to face me, "um, i've been okay, i suppose," i mumbled the last part. she nodded, writing on her clipboard. i looked at the ground, trying to avoid any eye contact.

"so how is school going for you?" she asked, adjusting her glasses, "yeah its alright," i simply answered, she noddded and once again wrote stuff down. i sat awkwardly on the chair and fiddled with my thumbs as she asked me questions. "how are you and kenma going?" she asked finally, i looked up, giving my full attention before responding, "um, i dont know, if im being honest, i dont think he is into me, he just doesnt give me that attention you know?"

she smiled, "have you tried hinting to him how you feel?" she suggested, i thought about it before shaking my head. "but, one of the volleyball boys kinda um...well kissed me," i said, turning my head away to hide my flustered face. "do you like this boy?" the councillor questioned. "well, i mean yeah, he's cute, and he's super nice too," i smiled as i answered her question.

eventually the bell went and i picked my bag up, "thank you for this," i said, trying to run out of the door, "do you want to book another appointment?" she questioned, "no, its alright."

i ran to 3rd period, i was definitely going to be late. "oh y/n!" i heard from behind, i turned my head and saw kai, "hey, where were you, i didnt see you with kenma during second period!?" he exclaimed, worriedly. "yeah im okay, just had to do something," i smiled reassuringly. "hey so i was thinking...i've liked you for a while and i think maybe we shoudl try being more than just friends," kai spoke, a small blush spreading across his face, "yeah that sounds great, wanna hang out after school?" i asked, he nodded, "i'll pick you up at 6," he said before giving me a hug and running off to class.

i breathed in as i opened the door to my classroom, "y/n, why are you so late?" my teacher asked, "sorry sir, i got held up in something," i answered, bowing my head. i made my way to sit next to fukunaga, "where were you?" he asked. "with kai," i blushed. he smirked, "you and kai huh? what will kuroo think about this?" he asked, lightly chuckling. "i dont know, but i dont really care, kai is a good kid," i whispered.

as my teacher continued to lecture, i began falling asleep, and eventually fully dozed off. i could still somewhat hear my teacher's lecture but the longer it went on, the more muffled it became.

i woke up to fukunaga violently shaking me, "y/n, y/n, wake up!" he said, just above a whisper, my eyes fluttered opened, "sir just gave you the meanest stare," he added. i stretched, cracking my knuckles, "did you sleep well?" my teacher sarcastically asked, the other students letting out a chuckle as they stared at me. i looked down, slightly embarrassed but joined in on the laughter, "in fact, yes, i did have a good sleep thanks sir." fukunaga let out a laugh as he placed his arm across my shoulder.

once lunch came round, i ran to the courtyard and sat on the table, practically lying on it. "hey y/n," i heard, i saw yaku making his way over with the other 3rd years. "hey guys," i smiled, sitting up properly. "you just gonna stay there?" kuroo laughed, trying to push me off. i jumped off and into kai's arms, "thank you," i muttered to him, placing a kiss on his cheek, luckily the other boys didnt see.

kai held my hand as he guided me to sit down, "so kuroo, how has the exams been?" yaku asked, sipping on his water, as yaku and kuroo talked, kai and i sat there, holding hands, soon enough, i placed my head on his shoulder, in which he put his arm around me, keeping me warm.
