once the waitress left, an awkward silence rose upon kai and me. we sat there for a while, kai's hand on mine, "well how was you afternoon?" i asked, trying to start a conversation, he smiled, "it was lovely, i spent an hour with my mom talking about you, she really wants to meet you." i chuckled, "really? im honestly terrified to meet your parents." kai laughed at my reaction, "oh, i have something for you," he said, removing his hand from mine, i missed the warmth of his hand. he pulled out a small box, "whats this?" i asked, he handed it to me, "open it!"

i opened it and saw a beautiful ring placed neatly inside, "kuroo helped me pick it out," he muttered, "its really pretty thank you," i smiled and leaned over to plant a kiss on his cheek. he held his hand there for a bit before smiling. kai took the ring out from the box and placed it gently on my finger.

kuroo's pov

"okay now explain to me why we are here," i said to kenma, "you never wanna go out." he shushed me before putting his hoodie over his head, dragging me along with him. out of the corner of my eye i noticed a familiar car, it looked like kai's.

"kenma, kai is here," i yelled. "i know you moron, just follow me," he whisper-yelled. i sighed and threw my hands up, what is he trying to do...

after struggling to get inside of this exotic looking building, we finally managed to get seated at a table, not too far from kai and y/n. you could easily hear their conversation. kenma eyed y/n, "you alright there?" i asked, raising a brow, he snapped out of whatever trance he was in and looked down at the menu.

i put 2 and 2 together and realised what he was trying to do, "you like y/n dont you?" i smirked, he avoided my gaze, "you do!" i shouted, earning stares from everyone in the resturaunt. i immediately looked down, covering my face with the menu. "you dumbass, shut up," kenma said, slapping my knuckles.

first person

i noticed out of the corner of my eye someone who looked awfully familiar to kuroo, but my mind must be just playing tricks.

by now, the food arrived, i was nearly finished my pasta, "you inhaled that pasta," kai joked, i laughed, "i was hungry." kai was also nearly finished eating, "do you want dessert here, or from somewhere else?" he asked me, taking a bite of his steak, "um i dont mind to be honest, i'll have anything." kai took out the dessert menu from behind the cutlery tray. "oooh, would you like a slice of strawberry shortcake?" he suggested, "hmm, lemme see that," i said and practically snatched the menu from him, earning a chuckle.

"i think a fondue for 2 sounds nice," i said, placing the menu back, "of course, anything for you m'lady," once again i blushed at the nickname. we ordered our dessert and sat there talked about whatever came to mind. "wait, y/n, you have something on you-" he cut himself off, he leaned over, using his thumb to wipe off pasta sauce near my mouth, licking his thumb afterwards. i blushed and he mustve noticed, "why are you so red?" he asked, i shrugged, "just a bit hot..."

dessert came pretty quickly, it looked so delicious, the chocolate was centred in the middle, marshmellows were on the left, strawberries on the right, it all just looked so good. i picked up the little fork pick we were given. i pierced a strawberry and dipped it in the melted chocolate, it oozing off, i placed it in my mouth. "mmm this is so good," i spoke, my mouth half full, kai laughed at my actions, "gosh y/n, you're so childish, its cute."

once we finished dessert, kai helped me out of my seat and we were going to the front to pay, i got out my card, but before i could tap it, kai shoved me to the side, "kai, you didnt have to!" i exclaimed, "it was my duty to pay for the first date, i cant have my precious y/n paying," he replied. i brought him in for a quick peck on the lips.
