An autumn morning filled with vibrant leaves and crisp air. The sun was just rising and along with it the fauna of the quaint little town. A little paperboy was starting his busy work, he threw fresh newspapers to the fauna in his neighborhood from his bright red bike.

This wasn't regular though, he was taking over for his brother who chipped a horn. Because if he did this job for long enough he would've known about him. The boy was nearing the end of his morning route with only a few more houses to go.

By now he slowed down from fatigue he threw a paper but instead of the usual sound of it meeting the ground, there was nothing. He jolted and quickly turned around hoping he didn't break anything but his eyes met another scarlet pair.

A tall stared back at him in his hand was the crumbed newspaper, it seemed he caught it before it hit him while he watered plants in his garden.

The kid, who now wasn't looking where he was going, he was far too shocked at the sight of the wolf. So he soon abruptly fell off his bike, his chin landing on the cold concrete. The boy yelped in pain, his bike crashed into a nearby tree while he collided with the ground.

He started to tear up shaking at the pain, crimson blood trickling down his little chin.

Before he could lift himself he was cautiously pulled up by the wolf from before.

The man patted the kid's clothes off as he was covered in stray autumn leaves. The man let out a shaky sigh before towering over the boy and with a grim cold voice, "Are you hurt?" He asked the boy.

The two stood in silence for a few seconds the boy's tears slowly began to pour as he shook in fear of the scary wolf.

It was a dumb question the boy obviously hurt himself. So he didn't know how to respond to the tall statue in front of him. Before he could think of a way to escape the situation he noticed the wolf's stature change.

He was stiff, well stiffer than he was previously.

A soft giggle could be heard from behind him as a hand touched his shoulder. The kid looked up curiously before two long fluffy h/c ears peeked from behind the wolf. A beautiful rabbit showed herself a bright smile on her lips. Though her smile slightly dropped seeing the blood on the child's face.

"Oh no, did you hurt yourself, dear?" Her tone would fluster many. The little boy did grow red at her words but in annoyance.

His cheeks puffed out before he declared. "I'm NOT a deer! I'm a goat!" He bobbed his head in confirmation before ramming into the closet thing next to him which was the bunny herself. The wolf watched in despair as the child and his friend both dropped to the ground.

"ACK!" It wasn't as fatal as an adult goat but it didn't feel any better. The pretty woman gritted her teeth from the pain of the small attack as the child looked down at her with a huff.

"You're lucky my horns are still growing in!" He warned the woman proudly, remaining oblivious to the dark glare thrown at him.

The wolf sweated an ocean as he saw the familiar dark look grow on his friend's face. The look of murder, it was startling to know that even a child wasn't spared from it.

He moved quickly and pulled the kid off her before handing the boy a clean towel from his pocket to wipe the boy's chin. He then put the scattered newspapers on the ground back into the boy's bike basket.

The kid watched in awe at how fast the wolf moved long forgetting his fear of him.

The man softly pushed the child back to his bike with urgency. "You should finish your routes, you don't want anyone to get worried do you?" The kid raised a brow at the anxious wolf.
