"Jake, oh my god get up!" Jamie was shaking me awake.
"Five more minutes." I groaned.
He pulled my blanket off me and got up, "Jamie, c'mon I'm cold."
"Get up." He laughed, "We have twenty minutes."
"Fine." I groaned, sitting up.
"Oh." He looked at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Uh...you should look in a mirror."
"BENJAMIN!" I exclaimed.
"I didn't realize!" He exclaimed as I fumbled for my phone, pulling up my camera and confirming what I already knew.
There was a very visible hickey on my neck and several on my shoulders and upper chest, "We are playing in a nationally televised tournament this week. I'm going to kill you." I groaned.
"I'm sorry." He laughed.
"Are you laughing at me?" I asked, "I look like I was attacked by a vampire!"
"It's a little bit funny!" He couldn't stop laughing. And I was laughing now.
"I hate you." I groaned.
"I am sorry." He smiled.
"I know. But you're buying my breakfast to make it up." I stood up.
"Will do. Here." He handed me his old high school hoodie.
"The whole team is going to know now," I told him.
"Yeah, they are." He nodded, "Are you ok with that?"
I smiled up at him, "Yeah. Yeah, I am. Are you?"
"Yeah." He smiled, looking at me like I was the most amazing person in the world to him. I wasn't, but he still looked at me like that. Like I deserved so much more than I actually did.
I pulled him into a kiss. His hands threaded in my hair, holding the nape of my neck. I held his waist, pulling him closer to me and dropping his hoodie on the ground. We stayed like that for a while until he gently pulled back with a grin. We both grinned like idiots.
I grabbed his hoodie from where I dropped it and pulled it on, "Alright, brush your teeth so you can finish packing."
"Oh my god." I groaned.
The bathroom was empty when we walked in, I brushed my teeth quickly and took my meds then shoved my toiletry bag into my carry-on, "You are so not going to be able to bring that on. It's definitely too full for a carry-on." Jamie laughed.
"Is not. I'll make it work." I grinned.
"You're impossible." He rolled his eyes.
"And you have barely anything in your carry-on, so I can just put it into yours." I grinned.
He laughed and kissed me, "Idiot."
"You love it." I grinned.
"C'mon, Cal will kill us if we're late."
We headed downstairs to meet the team in the lobby. Cal looked at both of us and did a double take at my neck. She groaned and pulled me aside.
"Is it about the thing on my neck?" I asked.
"Yes. We will buy concealer in Austin to fix it." She looked at the hoodie I was wearing. It was like the dots connected, "Oh my god. Dammit, I owe Tombow like $20."
"Seriously?" I asked, "How does he keep winning money?"
"He bet you guys would get together before winter break, I said it would happen during." She groaned, "Dammit."
