When I opened my eyes, it was dark, and the only source of light was a small candle. The room felt really small.

"Welcome" I heard a voice say.

"Where am I? Who are you and what do you want?" I asked.

"It is simply I, The Great Witch," the voice said, and the room slowly turned brighter, and she showed up. She was wearing her usual gown looking dress, which was white.

"Okay. Nice special effects and stuff. Get to the point. Why am I here?"

" You do not dismiss me, Tabitha! " She said, her voice louder and looking a bit angry. "You're the chosen one. You have a task, and you have to do it. Whether you like or not. To save your people. Stop fighting it!"

"Can't you just take my powers? I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH MAGIC!"

"I'm afraid not. Tabitha, you're needed. Help us. We're going to provide you with everything you need anyway. " She pleaded. " I didn't want to do this, but if you refuse and fight even more, you're going to have everything taken away from you. Now, are you in or out?"

"Fine! I'm in. When do I have to start?" I asked, giving up.

"Tomorrow. Be at the lake by Dawn. Do Not Be Late."

"Which lake? When is Daw-" Before I could finish, she was gone, and I was back in my dorm room.

I was in my bed, and Max was next to me, looking concerned and scared at the same time. Poor max. He then saw that I was awake and looked relieved. "Are you okay? I was so worried. You just blacked out, and I brought you to your room. Are you fine? Do you need water? Painkillers? Food? A blan-"

"Max, relax. I'm fine, " I reassured him. " It was just magic stuff. They need my help with something and are threatening to harm me if I don't help them, so I guess I have to help them."

"Can't you just block it out? You can't go back to magic. It really hurt you."

"I know, but I'll be fine. Don't worry about it." I said, and he relaxed. "Although, I do want some food. Let's go eat." I said, and we went out to eat.

****************

In the morning, I woke up around 5:30. I didn't know what time dawn was, so I just googled, and it said 6'oclock, so I had thirty minutes to get ready. I got ready, made a quick breakfast, and left. The lake I knew around here wasn't really far away, so I got there quickly. I parked my car near the lake and took The book of Magic. I summoned the Great Witch, and she quickly appeared. I asked her what to do and she gave me instructions.

"Just to make sure, I'm getting paid for this, right?" I asked her.

"Yes, now, do what you're supposed to do." She said

I opened the page, and the great witch said I should open and started saying the spell out loud.

"Spirit of magic,
I call upon you
Take me to
Where I should be
Right at this moment, " I said it three times.

I was now on the other side of the lake, where the magical creatures were. I saw Jadah waiting for me. It had been such a long time since I saw her. She was breathtaking. Her hair was in a low ponytail, and she had a bit of makeup on. Her hazel brown eyes were beautiful. She was holding a big black book and was reading from it, leaning against a tree.

"You're staring," She said in a nonchalant tone. How did she know?

"I'm sorry. You just look odly familiar." I lied. Well, it technically wasn't a lie.
