A month had passed, and Jadah and I were still looking for the oldest witch that the fally was talking about. Trying to capture the fally was really hard, so our last plan was to find this witch who would hopefully help us since she has lived very long.
We summoned the Great Witch a few days ago and asked her about the witch. Her name was Martha Farynx, and she lived in Aurum, the neighboring city of Auburn.

Jadah and I were at the Magicas center at the moment, getting ready to go to Aurum where the witch was. Jadah teleported us to Aurum and, in her hand, was a paper with the address of Martha's house. Aurum was beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful. There wasn't a lot of noise around or any busy roads. We hadn't seen all of it, but it seemed amazing. It was a place where most fairies and some witches lived. We got to the oldest witch's house, and I knocked on the door. An old lady, who looked at least sixty years old, opened the door. "Good morning. How may I help you?" She politely asked asked us.

"We're looking for Martha Farnyx. Do you perhaps know where she lives? "I asked

"She lives right here, and that is me." She answered. "I have been waiting for the both of you. "

"How did you know we were coming ?"

"Perks of being the oldest witch, come on in. Would you like some tea?" She asked, and we nodded as she let us inside.

She boiled the kettle and made tea for us. We told her about the creature that has been destroying Auburn. We told her exactly what the creature said. She told us the same thing that Grandma told us the other day. She told us that the creature is being controlled by a human who wants something in exchange for freedom.

"How is it that you look so young yet you're so old?" Jadah asked.

"Well, I am immortal. The ritual was done when I was fifty nine years old. Quite a long time ago if you think about it." She answered her.

I hurried to my class, seeing that I was running a bit late.

"Miss Greenwood, you're late." The teacher said.

"I'm sorry. " I said

"Take a seat." He said. "Now, as I was saying..." he continued teaching.

After class, I went to the cafe for my shift before heading to Aurum with Jadah.  We talked to Martha, and she told us how to defeat the fally. It had been done before, so the same solution that was used back then would be used now.

When Martha told us that defeating the fally would require both out magic, spells and potions, jadah and I prepared ourselves.  We went to the Magicas center and worked on the spell and potion. Mostly me because I am a witch.

Jadah told me that the fally was now in Aurum, getting closer to the Martha, and we needed to move right away. If we didn't get in time, the fally would have Her.

We went to Aurum and saw the fally slowly getting closer to where Martha lived. It left its green disgusting goo all over the street. We went towards it, and Jadah used her fire powers and blasted them towards the fally, but nothing happened. Instead, the fally came closer to us.

Jadah turned her head towards me. "What do we do now?" She asked.

"We throw it with this!" I said, showing her the bottle in my hand. It had the potion that I had been working on. Since Jadah had better aim, I gave it to her, and she threw it, and it got inside the fally's mouth, and it laughed.  I said a spell three times and but it didn't seem to work.

I went closer to it, trying to touch its leg since it was very tall. "Tabitha, what are you doing?!" Jadah asked, her voice loud.

"Trying to reach out to it," I answered.

"Are you sure that's going to work?" She asked.

"It looks human like, so it at least has to have a brain? I don't know,  but I have to find out." I said.

"Says spell in her brain. Stop this now!" I said, trying to reach out to it, and it started working a bit, but not entirely.  The fally started becoming dizzy.

Martha appeared and saw that the spell and the potion weren't working. She started humming, and it started lightly, until it got loud. "Cover your ears!" She said to Jadah and I, and we did as she said.

Sound waves come out from her mouth going straight to the fally. It seemed loud to the fally. It was struggling to close its ears as it slowly got weaker by each passing second. It fell onto the floor, hugging itself, its face projecting fear mand pain, then it vanished.

"How did you do that?!" Jadah asked, fascinated.

"When you're more than four hundred years old, you learn a lot of tricks with your powers. " She answered.

"You're four hundred years?" I asked, shocked.

"More than that." She said, and jadah and I both looked at each other, very shocked.

"You girls must be exhausted,  come in, and have some tea." Martha invited us into her home.

"If you are that old, why aren't you in the EOC? You must be the most powerful witch." I asked her.

"Well, I created the EOC, but as I got older, it was easier to let young people take over. They had great modern ideas that would hide our world from humans. How to keep our powers a secret but still use their resources. I am superior, yes, but I help from the shadows. If the darker powers find me, It is over for most of the magical creatures."

"By darker powers, do you mean demons?" Jadah asked.

"No. There are much darker powers. Purely evil, but they are in hiding since they were defeated years ago.  Before both of you were even born, but I have been having visions. Of them coming back, of course."  She said.

After having tea with Martha, we went to the magicas center and summoned the Great Witch. What was confusing was that the great witch had so much power and could show up and command, but the oldest power didn't have that power.

"Thank you both for saving the magical world again. Tabitha, as promised, the money you wanted is yours now. I am so glad that you finally gave in and helped."

"More like you forced me too, but you're welcome." I said. She nodded and disappeared.

Jadah and I went back home, and jadah started packing her clothes. Since the mission was over, she didn't need to be here anymore.  It was good for both of us because now I wouldn't have to be scared of leaving my room because of what would happen if jadah was found in my room.

"Thanks for letting me stay here," Jadah said.

"You're welcome." I said, and we both smiled.

It got silent for a minute, and then Jadah kissed me. Her lips were soft, and I realized that I missed kissing them. She cupped my face, still kissing me while I kissed her back. The kiss was amazing and reminded me of everything I was trying to forget about her.

'I'm going to miss you.'  I heard her thoughts, and she let go and left.  I just stood there shocked at what had just happened.
