Jadah and I went home after being at the Magicas center till it was late. We worked on the syringe and tried to figure out why it didn't paralyze the fally. We didn't really get anything and decided to go home since Jadah's arm was in pain. I made a simple dinner for us to eat, and we sat down and ate. "Thank you," Jadah said, suddenly as we were eating.

"For what?" I asked her, feeling confused.

"For letting me stay here,"

"Wha...what happened to mean Jadah?" I teased her.

"I'm being serious,"

"You're welcome,"

"And she's still here, you know. Mean Jadah, " she said, and we both laughed.

As much as she was being nice, I didn't like it. When she's mean, you know there's nothing going on. There is no agenda, no intentions except get what she's here for in the first place. But her being nice could mean being friends. I don't want that. Not with her. Not with what happened.

Later on, we both washed the dishes and went to sleep.

Friday came after a slow week of classes, working at the cafe and training with Jadah. Yeah, I said that. Training with Jadah. She thought it was a good idea to learn how to fight in case we came across the fally and it attacked us. The training sessions weren't bad, it's just that I didn't want to spend that much time with jadah.

I didn't have any classes today, and I was mostly going to be in the Magicas center, working on spells and potions. Jadah teleported us there and gave me some books that needed spells to open them so that I could open them for her to be able to know how to somehow stop the creature. The city of Auburn, a place where other magical creatures were, was mostly burned down because of the fally Phillis. We had to stop it from destroying the others and getting to where magical creatures live amoungst humans.

Jadah made me realize that I needed to go to my grandmother, so that she could teach me how to use my powers more to an advanced level and check if the power I had after I used the spell that would save us when Jadah and I were still together were still there. I planned on going there the following week.

"I think if we can somehow make a potion that could make it speak. Like tell us what it wants." Jadah suggested.

"We could try. In which book will I find that?" I asked.

"The book of potions, third shelve"

"Cool. Thanks." I said and looked for it and found it. What I hated about these magic books is that none of them had an index. To find something, you needed to look very hard for it. "I found one!" I yelled after a long time of looking for the page. "It called 'speak' whoever drinks this, will answer any question asked but they will talk none stop."

"I think we can risk that."  She said. "What does it need?"

"Basil, rosemary, green -" I got interrupted by a loud alarm. We looked at the huge map and saw that the fally Phillis was in Auburn at the moment, destroying more things.

"Okay, guess that has to wait. I'm pretty certain we might catch it this time. Get the cage ready and make it stronger with a spell while I go get our soon to be prisoner." She said and immediately left.

I got the cage ready and strengthened it with a spell. I read more about the potion and looked around to see if we had any ingredients for it. Before I could find all of them, Jadah returned looking hurt but had the fally paralyzed with her. Her face had two scars, and her hands looked darker than usual.

"Open...open the..the cage now," she said, running out of breath. I did as she said and opened it. She put the fally inside and then sat down.

"So what's the plan?" I asked her.

"I.. I don't know," she said, trying to catch her breath. "Let it stay here for now."

"I just don't understand what it's after and why now all of a sudden."

"Well, work on the potion so that we can find out."

"That won't be necessary," it suddenly spoke, making the both of us jump.

"You can speak?!" I asked, still in shock.

"Why I'm here is pretty simple. I want to find the oldest witch and force her to bring back my master!!" It said.

"Well, don't you already -" as I was about to finish my sentence, it vanished. "How? There was a containment spell. "

"It's too powerful, Tabitha," Jadah replied.

"Well, are you okay?" I asked her.

"I'll be fine,"

"Come, let me heal you,"

*************************************************

I was working at the cafe, alone this time, because Zara had an interview with someone who wanted a job. The kitchen always felt lonely when she wasn't around because I was so used to her.

"Tabitha, there's someone looking for you." Zach came and told me.

"Is it Max?" I asked him, and he shook his head. I left what I was doing and went to the front to see who it was. My guess was Jadah because she's always demanding me, but I was wrong when I saw Kiara. "Kiara! Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked

"I wanted us to talk. About what happened... It's been a week." She answered. In the corner of my eye, I could see Zara and the person she was interviewing, get out of her office and I dragged Kiara to a corner, to avoid Zara getting mad, I left the donuts alone.

"Well, I'm working. Let's talk later?"

"Cool. Come to my house tonight. " She said and left. How did she know I worked here?

I went to the back again to attend to the donuts and found Zara already doing that. "Who was that? Your girlfriend?" She mocked me.

"No." I answered.

"Well, she definitely likes you."

"And how do you know that?"

" I can see it,"

"Okay, love psychic." I said, and we went back to work.

Later on, I went back home and took a shower, then got ready to go to Kiara's. I wore some black sweat pants and a black hoodie. It wasn't a date. We were just going to talk. I told jada that I would be gone for some time so she would be eating dinner alone.

"Are you going to your girlfriend?" She teased me.

"She's not my girlfriend. She's my..... friend." I replied.

"Yeah, yeah. She's your friend and she's a girl. Girlfriend."

"Oh, go to hell,"

"I would love to, that's where all the Demon's are." Jadah said, laughing. I left her and went to Kiara's house.

This time, there were no candles lit, well there was a scented one but no romantic ones. The lights were on this time. She made snacks for us and offered wine, but I asked for juice instead because I was driving later on. Kiara jumped straight into it. She didn't beat around the bush or anything like that. She asked me again and I told her that I didn't want a relationship at the moment.

"It's that girl, isn't it?" she asked.

"What girl?" I asked, confused

"The one that was here the other time"

"Oh, Jadah. No, no! There's nothing going on between her and I . I just work with her sometimes. Listen, I don't want a relationship right now because I'm not ready for that, and we barely know each other. Although, we can try something out for now. Like having fun."

"Okay," she said and leaned in to kiss me.
