Zaelia
"Thank you so much again, Naureen, for covering everything up," I say through the phone put between my right ear and shoulder as I make some coffee.
"It's alright. I understand you needed time to get away from them. Sicre would never mind your stay and I'll have everything under control. So don't worry and stay as long as you want." I feel the smile and compassion in her tone.
"Mhm." And the line cuts as she hangs up. I got two of my best friends back. Right now, that's what matters and I'm grateful all the way for that.
"Who was that?"
"Jesus!" I abruptly turn around almost dropping my phone. "You scared the hell out of me, Sicre."
He chuckles and sits at the kitchen island, propping his chin on his wrist. Sicre was in a white T-shirt and black sweatpants, his dark hair seeming like he just got out of the shower. His face was fresh and awakening. It makes you wanna wake up to it every day.
You're doing it, Zee.
What?
Daydreaming. About you and your best friend, who you like like."UH- it was Naureen." I declare, tearing my eyes away from his lush self. "I made breakfast by the way."
I fetch the plates from the oven and display a grilled cheese sandwich with ketchup smiling up at him. He frowns. "Where's Gina? You didn't have to make anything."
"This was the least I could do for letting me stay," I reply. "I asked Gina not to make anything today." I shoot him a grateful smile.
He gives me a look and tries his sandwich delivering an 'Mmmmm' right away.
"Good?" I ask, watching him gobble it up. "You've got so many kinds of cheeses, dude."
"Raawishin mmm," he utters with his mouth full.
I laugh and we talk a little after breakfast then head to school together. Sicre lends me his sister's clothes for the day which fit pretty well. I have to say; I'll live for her style. Today was the last day before school closes for summer break and we were both excited. Sicre and I even decide to get something for the group. So we stop by a cute shop on our way to school.
I get off as he parks in his car in the very slim place we luckily found. He slings his arm on my shoulders and I hold him around the waist as we skip happily into the shop.
The shop gave off every kind of aesthetic. It was pretty and well-decorated in every corner. I spin around to look at all the random things here. From cute tote bags and mugs to mini shopping carts and adorable stationaries. Plus literally every useless thing you can find on earth.
"It opened recently," Sicre explains. "I guessed this would be the perfect place to look for something memorable to gift."
"Can definitely see that. It's amazing," I express, still in awe.
We spend the next half an hour exploring and choosing gifts for everyone. Sicre insisted on leaving his house early so we wouldn't be late. And so there were still a few minutes before school began even after we got back.

"Wow. A scalp massager tool. Seriously?" Naureen makes a face, aghast. Reece, Zeke, and Kody burst into laughter looking at her.
By perfect gifts we meant, literally perfect.
"Zee chose that for you to control your anger issues." Sicre snorts.
I try to hide my smirk. "Did a great job, didn't I?"
"Bitch." She pouts and crosses her arms. I laugh and give her a hug which she pleasingly returns.
