Tu es une divinite faite,chair laisse-moi t'adorer.
Car je ne suis qu'un mendiant,et tu es mon vice.

Aime-moi

Ginny Weasley was not usually alone; she had come out of the war and straight into Harry's chaotic life. That didn't bother her, she was used to chaos. And when that failed, she had gone to Paris with Fleur after the break-up and fallen in love with the city. She hadn't wanted to dwell on the unsuccessful relationship she had with Harry.

It was entirely understandable that Harry ended up feeling the way he did, even she was getting sick of being compared to Harry's mum. The thing was she was a great woman so it was hard to begrudge the comparison. Except she was nothing like what people said Lily was like. So, the break-up was understandable and expected.

If she were being honest with herself, she caught Harry looking at some of the men they ran into with a more appreciative look over than she had ever got from him. She wasn't upset but at the same time she did need distance and distraction. Thus, she chose to finish her 7th year at Beauxbatons with Gabriela after she fell in love with France.

She had a great time and finished her schooling with no major issues or problems. She dated some guys but it never lasted, they never just had eyes for her.

She may be a bit naïve on the matter but, she wanted someone to look at her the way her dad looked at her mum. Like she was the only one in the room even when there are people prettier, smarter or more important in the room. Total dedication wasn't too much was it? She had always thought she would eventually be that for Harry.

She came back from France for the summer holidays and caught up with the people she had missed. Harry, Luna and Neville were a blast to spend time with and doing Harry's makeover had been funny to experience. Although she was a little jealous at the way he had filled out over the year they had been separated. Then she had to say goodbye once again as they all left to go to Hogwarts.

She had never been alone in her whole life. Now she was.

Now she had spent almost two weeks in only the company of her parents and that was mostly at meals and stuff. It wasn't like she hung out with her mum, she did but it was different. Her dad was at the ministry a lot and was one of the many new members of the Wizengamot. This was a point of pride for the family but, it did mean he was busy quite a bit more. Even her mum had her own friends and things she did while Dad was off at work.

Her and Andromeda spent a bit of time together, caring for Teddy and doing other senior citizen stuff. She didn't think it was much fun listening to her mum harp on about when she would settle down and start a family. Ginny was not ready for any of that just yet.

She sighed as she lay on her bed at the Burrow, she didn't like being alone and she missed Paris. She missed the French countryside and the people; she appreciated the anonymity too. People here still talked about her as if she were still attached to Harry somehow. She looked at the date and realized she had no plans for the future and what she really wanted to do was go back to France and see if she could make it permanent. She wondered if she would be able to make a life for herself there. It was a lovely fairy tale.

Although she didn't know why it had to be a dream. She had her own money she had saved while she was in Paris the first time, she could use her savings to get back there and work for her own. Find something to do or try out for some quidditch teams or something.

She went to grab the latest issue of the Daily Prophet and began going through the adverts. Looking specifically for international accommodation. She ended up finding a very decent price on a chateau suite and chose to send an owl to the owner and see what the accommodations were like and how much her stay would cost.

Interestingly it did not take long for a reply, the fancy scrawling writing on the front told her this person was high born, all those richy types get calligraphy lessons.

She read the answer,

Miss Weasley,

Thank you for your enquiry, I have plenty of space for long term tenants and offer a variety of packages for anyone requiring financial assistance. You are welcome to try your stay and if you are not satisfied with the accommodation, you would be able to walk away and find other lodgings with no cost to you. I have available suites ready now so I shouldn't have a problem finding you and appropriate suite.

I also offer a discount for those who are heroes of the recent war as a show of gratitude. I will be more than happy to include you in this category.

She wrote a reply, and pondered the initials that were at the bottom. She had no idea who it could be, then again, she was unfamiliar with the French aristocracy. There was a bit of back and forth and by the time she had settled on getting there Monday she thought the person she was talking to her, knew her somehow.

That was silly, Ginny chided herself for the paranoia, they probably just knew of her. She had been in a relationship with Harry fucking Potter after the war she had been in the paper and in magazines. She may have liked the anonymity in France but, she wasn't completely unknown.

She then ordered a portkey to her destination and prepared to tell her parents her decision. She was most worried that her mum would think she was abandoning them or something. Her mum could be a wild card these days, one minute she is completely fine and the next everyone was going to be the next Fred.

She wrote a letter to Harry to tell him what she was doing, she knew he would be happy for her no matter what. When she was done, she set it on her desk and went down to dinner with her parents.

~~~*~~~
Her mum was serving dessert and she figured it was now or never so, she went for it.
"Mum, Dad?"
"Yes dear." Her mother said.
"I wanted to tell you guys something important."
"Go ahead dear." She encouraged as she sat next to dad.
"Well, you know I loved it in France and well, I want to go back, see if I could make a life there. I already booked everything and I'm starting to pack. I don't know exactly how its going to work but, I have enough money and I can get a job once I'm there. I really, really want to do this and I hope you can be happy for me for taking a leap of faith." She spewed rapidly. Her parents both blinked at her owlishly and then looked at each other in the way she recognized as them speaking without words.
Whether they could magically read each other's minds or just had a strong connection enough to just get it.
"We think that's a great idea. A chance to start a life of your own. Have positive experiences and meet new people, we think it will be good for you. We have noticed you have wanted to go back." Her dad told her warmly.
"And who knows if you will stay there, Europe is a large place with many things to see and do. I'm sure you will find a place just for you." Her mother said. "Now when are you leaving?"
"Monday, I have already got a place to stay for 6 months to test the waters, it's a lovely chateau on the outskirts of Paris."
"Well, you let us know if you need anything and try to write to us often ok." They both smiled at her and she saw pride in their eyes. Yes, she was ok. She was going to do something crazy and live and they were ok with that. She didn't think she could be happier.
"Thanks Mum, Thanks Dad." She hugged them.
And she hugged them often in the time between then and her leaving. She wouldn't see them for a while so, she needed to get them in while she could.
She sent Harry the letter before bed and spent the rest of the night packing her life away into boxes. In no time at all it would be heading off to her new life and new adventures.
