When the hour began to grow later and she had not re-emerged, he began to worry he had done something to frighten her. She said she was just sleeping but, it was growing closer to dinner time. She had not requested lunch, she had so far, it seems, slept the day away.

Unless he was right and he had scared her off already, she is likely hiding away in her room and avoiding him until she can leave. He sighed and looked at the time and back to his work.

It was definitely too late to be working.

Ginny had finally woken up after deciding she did want to sleep, after procrastinating for way too long. She looked at the clock in her room and saw it was close to dinner time, her tummy knew because it rumbled loudly.

She was looking through her hand bag at the front door to her suite to see if she was able to afford to go out to eat that night.

Theo went to the kitchens to talk to the House elves about fixing up a small meal for her, that he could take to her suit. He would try and assure her she was perfectly safe here and if that didn't work and she still left, he can at least say he had tried and it just wasn't meant to be.

He brought the tray of food to her main door and suddenly felt stupid. She isn't going to want to see him. Maybe he should have just had a House elf deliver the food. He felt like an idiot, she was going to think it suspicious if he showed up serving her food.

He hesitated just a bit then set the tray to hover at a level that caught the eye, then he cast a warming charm to keep the food warm.

She heard a noise on the other side of the door and froze.

The sound of frustrated grumbling came from the other side, followed by a deep sigh and some muttering. Perhaps there was a house elf out there, who clearly did not enjoy his job. However, the house elf could recommend somewhere to eat that night or show her to the kitchens.

He was just leaving a note to tell her the food was complimentary as a welcome to the estate, when he heard her on the other side of the door.

It opened quickly and he was caught.

She wrenched the door open hoping to catch the little creature before it popped away. When she opened the door though, it was no house elf. A wide eyed and very embarrassed looking Theodore Nott stood stock still and stunned.

His mouth hung open like a dead fish and his eyes shone with panic, she could almost hear the stream of Fuck, fuck , fuck running through his head as he struggled to find a way to explain himself.

Fuck, fuck, fuck Theo thought as he realized he was probably coming across as weird, how was he supposed to explain him personally leaving food for her.

She burst into laughter, having to brace her hands on her knees to steady herself. He seemed to finally blink at that and closed his mouth, enough to grin at her.

Once done with laughing at catching sight of that ridiculous look on his face, she sniffed and smelt the food. Her tummy growled again and she blushed at how loud the growl had been.

"Is that for me?" She asked. Pointing at the tray still hovering between them. He cleared his throat and nodded.

"Er, yes. I had noticed you had not yet eaten today. I thought to leave it as a complimentary welcome gift. I did not wish to disturb you if you were still asleep and I was already on my way to dine myself." He wasn't lying he was going to dine once he had left her.

As if to accentuate the truth of his words, his tummy growled loud enough for Ginny to hear it herself.

She giggled again. He is no death eater, she though, he's not really scary at all. He seemed like a soft type of guy, the kind who had manners and did things like hold the door for her and pull out her chair for her.
