" KANROJI, pay attention! "

You jolted in surprise, whipping back to face Giyuu who raised an eyebrow at you, sword resting on his shoulder. With a mutter of 'sorry', you focused back to the class lesson for today; poison ball game.

Usually Giyuu would have the class running around the field track but apparently (according to Shinobu who tipped you off) he seemed to be trying something more light and playful for the students ("Urokodaki-san advices him to let the students exercise with playful games so he could be more liked" Shinobu giggled before she went off to her class.)

It was nice to play such game, even if Giyuu had made it like a life-or-death scenario with how he shouted at everyone who got hit by the ball ("FOCUS MORE ON WHERE THE BALL IS HEADED, STRENGTHEN YOUR MUSCLES LEGS") but it was hard to keep track on what was going since you kept glancing at Aizetsu and Urogi, who both were punished by Obanai and had to kneel outside near the field with holding a chair each on their shoulders. Urogi seemed to be forgetting he was being punished and was now cheering over your classmates and booing the losers. Contrast to Aizetsu, who has a sad pout on his face as he stayed silent.

You weren't entirely sure what happened, but seems like Urogi had trained a hawk and almost killed Kaburamaru unintentionally. The school wanted to call the animal control but the hawk had flew off and Urogi begged to let the bird off the hook (Obanai was a different case with Kaburamaru since he was licensed). Aizetsu had explained his part first before being escorted to the principal office with his twin. The two of you shared a quick glance before he walked away.

Honestly, you felt sorry for him (not Urogi tho) so hopefully he would cheer up with the baked goods you ordered from the Kamado Bakery (you messaged Tanjirou last night if it was okay to save some baked goods for you to buy after school. He said it was fine and even offered to bring the goods to school where you can pay him after lunch break) --

" (Y/n), duck! "

Hakuji was swift enough to shove you backwards from being smacked by a ball, but you lost your footing and slipped down onto the ground, where unfortunately, was a pile of mud. Your sport uniform was splattered with gooey muddy mud but the worst thing for you was that your socks got wet as well. You grimaced, lifting up your soaked hands. A few of your classmates asked if you were okay, and another half cackle and shook their heads at your clumsiness.

" Are you okay? " Hakuji gently helped you got back on your feet, none too bothered by his hands getting wet. " Sorry, I pushed you too hard."

" Yeah, it's fine." You winced at the squeaky feeling in your shoes as you took a step back. Ugh, wet socks are the worst.

Giyuu hurried over. " Do you need to go to the med-bay? "

" No, I just got dirty and wet. Can I go change my clothes, Tomioka-sensei? "
