Homesick - Kane Brown
3rd Person POV

George took in a deep breath as he walked out of the baggage claim, He couldn't believe he would ever step foot back here after his parents rushed to the UK. Georges father was one of the best bull riders he's ever seen. He still can remember watching his hero riding the full eight seconds, hearing the buzzer screaming into his ear indicating a perfect ride. He had a bad accident with one of the beasts and was put into retirement, but his fathers heart ached to get back out there and ride.. however that wasn't a possibility so both his parents decided to just drop the country life all together and move across the ocean to London. where he grew up in his teen years. going from country to city just like that.

He was around the age of ten at the time, the only thing on his mind was leaving his cousin, Nashton.
The two were inseparable! stuck at the hip one would say, only being two months apart in age. It broke George's heart to leave his twin all those years ago...speaking of Nash.

"George!" a voice shouted. George wasn't a very common name out here in Laredo so the brunette instantly knew someone was calling out for him.

He looked side to side before catching the sight of his cousin running up to him.

"Ash!" George cheered, Ash was a special name for Nash, George thought the 'N' in Nashton was stupid so the brit always called him Ash. George lost his grip on the luggage and ran to the taller, short after closing the distance, they both smash into each other, laughing as they embrace in a long, sixteen year, awaited hug.

"it's been so long man, and you haven't grown an inch."
Nash cackled. bantering about the height difference between the two.

"if this is how it's going to be from now on, i might just catch a flight back to London."
George retaliated, shaking his head as he looked up.
Nash definitely wasn't exaggerating on the height difference, the taller has grown twice as much than the last time george saw him.
in his defense they were just kids, now they're adults. oh how time flys..

"come on! go get your bags and load them up, i can already feel my phone buzzing, tommy wanted to come but dad didn't want to bombard you with the child's..antics." Nash sighed.

Tommy was maybe a few months old when George had to leave, there was a few photos of all three of them but Tommy was far to young to remember any of it, George thought about why Tommy would want to come so bad as he walked back to collect his bags and chuck them into the bed of the Pick-Up Truck.

He ruled out that Nash told Tommy all of their stories and adventures they had as kids. which would be why Tommy wanted to see George, He wanted to ask questions and see if the tales Nash told were true.

George laughed to himself, maybe they were true, The two of them did some crazy stuff for ten year olds.
but maybe Nash pulled a little strings and told some fantasies aswell.

They both hoped into the Truck and Nash drove off,
George stiffened in his seat.

"Why is your truck so..dusty!"
He swiped his finger over the dashboard and held it up, once porcelain now covered in a reddish-brown hue.

Nash laughed at his younger cousin.
"That's just how it is, AC broke down a few months ago and riding down the dirt road twenty-four seven. it was bound to collect some dirt."

"some!?"
George questioned baffled.

"Ashton. i could build a dirt version of a snowman with all this muck."
George thought the color on his finger was the true color of the truck, not months of piled up dirt from driving with the windows down. Nash just laughed at him as he turned up the radio, not bothering to continue this 'dirt banter' with his cousin.

Nash knew George was bound to forget all about the country life after living in the city for sixteen years, it would take George a while to get used to all of this again. it was a bit saddening for Nash, he didn't even know if George would ever get on a horse again.

After what felt like ages sitting in the 'dirt wagon' as George would call it. They finally made it to the metal gate, Just over it set a open pasture full of cows, horses, a few sheep here and there, but also a mid size blue and white house. sat in the middle of what felt like acres and acres of land.

Nash hoped out opening the gate and poping back into the truck going past the gate before getting back out to close it.

"why don't you just leave it open? that was such a hassle for no reason."
George asked, cocking his head to the side.

"That's just how it is, can't let anything out."
He paused before looking at George before they both smirk, Like they read each others mind.

"Like Tommy."
They both say in union, looking away and laughing as they get closer and closer to the house.

Nash pulls into the garage before hopping out and grabbing at least four of George's bags, the shorter male following and grabbing the other three.
George had most of his things shipped but he decided to bring his clothes in his luggage. He had seven bags in total.

Nash strides to the front porch, dragging the suitcases up the two stairs before turning back to George who just finished stumbling over the rigid walkway, still not fully settled with his new, but old life.

"Welcome home George."
