in which tate jacobs is trying to survive high school and discover what it truly means to live.
tate jacobs has always been trying to find himself. he has the perfect family, the perfect girlfriend and the perfect friends. he's popular. all the girls want him and all the guys envy him. but that all changes once he realizes he's not perfect and everyone around him is not who they seem to be.
cassie howard has been dating tate since freshman year. she's in love with him and the two have been planning their life together since sophomore year. everyone at school knew that the two would end up married together with kids after senior year. but sometimes things change.
even though tate was popular, he had a close group of friends he could trust. cassie his girlfriend, kat his sister, lexi his good friend and fezco his spirit animal. however, there was nobody tate trusted more with his life than his best friend maddy. he could tell her anything.
maddy perez loved tate jacobs with her whole heart. since the moment the two met, they were inseparable. they knew each other for three years, but it felt like seventeen. the two were platonic soulmates; atleast that's what they kept telling each other.
nate jacobs has always been close to his twin brother tate. cal and marsha jacobs made sure of that. they even gave the two have rhyming nicknames. their parents made sure the two did everything together, which caused a one sided relationship between the two; or for tate at least.
