Chapter 11

A GLIMPSE OF WHAT IFS

LOUISE's POV // Present.

It's been five days since they arrived in Palawan, yet Louise can't still get enough of its beauty.

The first thing they did when they arrived was to eat. Louise felt giddy and can't wipe out the smile on her face the whole time, especially when people puts a garland of pink flowers on her neck. They've already done so much from their itinerary for the last four days; Neesha's excitement was too intoxicating that after they placed their things inside their cabin, they immediately went swimming while Zarrina accompanied Harriet in checking the whole resort and its staff.

The next day, they got up early to start their day. After breakfast, they went around the island and visit tourist spots, bought some pasalubong and tried out Palawan's delicacies. They also went island hopping, scuba diving, surfing, and jet skiing. They even tried bar hopping and sun-bathing.

And now, on their fifth day here, all of them decided to just have a relaxing day in the pool and maybe go the spa later on. They were trying not to overwhelm themselves since they'll still be staying here for two weeks.

As Louise was watching at the beauty in front of her, someone suddenly sat beside her in the balcony. She turned around to see Harriet. And when their eyes met, they both smiled at each other.

"Hey, everything alright? How's the constitution going?" Louise asked. Harriet couldn't accompany them yesterday when they went out to visit the market because she had to go check the construction site. Louise only saw her during dinner but she had to retire early to bed because she was exhausted.

"Hm it's going alright. Although we had to do some minor changes and do some renovations, but everything's coming to plan."

Staring at Harriet, Louise was really moved. Someone who doesn't know her might think she's just one of those rich girls who only knows how to party and waste money. Harriet's exterior look screams wealth and elegance, and she also has this intimidating aura around her. But just like they say, do not judge the book by its cover.

Harriet doesn't only take her education really well, but she also knows how to run and manage a business. No wonder everyone around her adores her

"Enjoying the view?" Louise was pulled out from her thought when she heard Harriet's voice. Her face immediately flushed red when she realizes what Harriet meant by that. Louise was caught staring at her. She immediately averted her gaze, subtly fanning her face even though it's not hot.

Louise blushed even more when she heard Harriet laughing beside her. Good thing that Neesha and Zarri came in because Louise can finally breathe properly. Suddenly, she feels so conscious being alone with Harriet

"Hey, guys- Oh what happened to you, Louise?"

"Are you sick, love? Why is your face so red?"

Both Neesha and Zarri asked her, making her blush even more. Harriet was trying to hide her laughter but is failing miserably, especially when Louise glared at her. Harriet just burst out laughing. Neesha and Zarri looking at them confused.

"What's going on here?" Zarri asked. Meanwhile, Neesha's eyes are now holding a teasing look

Harriet sobered up, but is still giggling in between. Louise just gave up and let out a pathetic breath

"Oi! Piss off!" Louise blurted out. She can still feel face burning. Thinking of what she may have looked when she was caught staring at her only makes her face heat up. She's sure as heck her whole face now looks like a very ripe tomato.
