It is a cold night and the moon is shining in the sky. You can even hear an owl in the background. There are also stars in the sky, but there is one star that stands forward from the other stars. The star is big and white. You would think it was the North Pole like the stories you heard, but that is not a star that leads to the North Pole. It's a totally different star.

At the window of an orphanage stood a 16-year-old girl. The girl has brown eyes with brown hair. She also even has bangs that cover her forehead. It made her look beautiful even though she did not look like a model. It is important to feel beautiful on the inside and not on the outside.

Her brown eyes made eye contact with the larger star in the sky. Her wings were resting against her back. Yes, you heard me. She has wings. They are beautifully white and soft like clouds. They are so soft that the girl puts her wings around herself so she can get comfortable and fall asleep faster.

She sighed and muttered to herself. Tomorrow she will go to school for the first time. All her life she had been hidden from others simply because she had wings. That made her unique, special, and more special than the others. But the girl didn't feel that. Why? She can't fly, even though she has tried a lot. One of her wishes was to be able to fly, even though she was sure there were no others like her. Right?

Then a knock was heard at the door. The girl quickly turned to see who it was. She got feelings of excitement and curiosity. She always got that when she gets visitors.

After the door opened, a woman came in with short hair and glasses on. Her hair is just a little red or brownish. It is the fabricator of the girl. Meet Cindy, an important person in her life.

Cindy closed the door and smiled at the girl. She worked in a cat cafe on her days off where she served the people while the cats roamed freely in the cafe and gave the people company.

"Hey, Olivia."

"Hi."

Cindy is someone who has long cared for Olivia, the girl. Olivia has no record of having siblings; she is an only child. She doesn't even have a record of her parents of who they are or where they live. Olivia has been an orphan all her life, except that she has wings.

Cindy approached her and Olivia watched her sit next to her before looking back out at the big star. Cindy followed her direction and at the end also looked at the big star. She opened her mouth to say something to her, but Olivia was first.

"I miss my parents." After she said this, she did not make eye contact with Cindy, who looked at her gently. She understood her perfectly well because Cindy had no family of her own. But she did keep a secret that she had not yet told Olivia.

Cindy gently put her hand on Olivia's shoulder and the 16-year-old girl looked at her. After Cindy got her attention, she said, "You'll see them one day ... If you believe in them."

Olivia is someone who believed in reincarnation and life after death, but certainly, no evidence of that has ever been found as to whether they are real. She didn't even know if Cindy believed in that too or not. The reason she never asked about her is because she didn't dare and also because it's not her business to know.

The girl looked back at the star for a moment before looking back into Cindy's blue eyes. She saw how heart-warming Cindy's smile was and Olivia smiled back gently. She nodded to her and she understood. She sighed softly. "I'm going to sleep. Big day tomorrow."

Cindy gave 3 small pats on Olivia's shoulder with a smile. "I understand. Sleep tight."

"Sleep well," Olivia replied and she watched Cindy get up and walk to the door. Cindy gave one last little smile to the girl before leaving the room.

Olivia watched the door for a while before looking at the star and sighing through her nose. She put on all of her short pajamas and went under her blankets. She moved until she was lying on her stomach, her favorite position. She looked at the star one last time before turning off her lamp and the darkness in her room.
