Olivia slept in her nice warm bed with Snow sleeping beside her. The girl with wings did not want to leave her bed, but her head was awake immediately after she remembered she had to leave. She opened her eyes and yawned. She sat up and soon got out of her bed. Snow also woke up soon, since cats were light sleepers. Sometimes cats dared to fall deep asleep, so they didn't stay alert.
"What is it?" asked Snow worriedly, who stretched and sat up.
Olivia, who already had clothes on, looked at Snow with a small smile and sat down next to her cat. "Nothing. I'm nervous about today, though."
Snow put her paw on Olivia's leg. "Everything will be fine. Cindy knows what she's doing." She then put her paw away.
Olivia nodded. And just before she wanted to say something, she heard a soft knock on the door. The door opened and Cindy entered. Olivia looked relieved and Snow did the same. The girls thought it was someone else. But wait, if it was someone else, then they would just silently look in. Cindy was not the only one to enter. She was followed by James and Jessie. Olivia looked surprised as Cindy closed the door. She gave James and Jessie a small greeting smile. Olivia got up and let James and Jessie sit on her bed while she picked up Snow in her arms. When the teens looked at Cindy and were silent, she began to speak just like a teacher prepared for class.
"This is a big day for you guys. I want you to listen to me carefully. Since you have listened to my explanation, this is the last time we will see each other. Remember that it is for the best that you are getting a new home. I don't want you to lose each other, stay together and help each other. Lastly, I want to let you know that I am proud of you. And I will miss you guys hard." Cindy smiled at the end, full of sadness in her eyes.
Jessie began to cry. She could no longer sustain her emotions. Olivia, Snow, and James watched as Jessie hugged Cindy. Jessie had a strong bond with her, which made Olivia jealous. But she wasn't a person who liked to break up. She wasn't that kind of person. Instead, she watched Jessie and Cindy with a gentle look in her eyes. After Jessie calmed down, she let go of Cindy and the grown woman looked at the girl with a soft smile on her face.
James also got up and went to Cindy. They shook hands and the boy sat back down on Olivia's bed along with Jessie. Then everyone looked at Olivia to see if she would respond to anything. Olivia looked away a little embarrassed. She didn't know what to answer. For some reason, she found it hard to say goodbye. When it came to seeing that person for the last time, she looked at Cindy, who was looking at her with a sad smile. Cindy went over to her and put her hand on Olivia's shoulder. "I'm very proud of you, Olivia. Lead your team. Hope you feel at home with the Wing Warriors. I'm going to miss you and others hard."
Olivia felt touched by Cindy's words. She let out a sad smile and nodded. Cindy petted Snow before looking at everyone. "We are going to leave. We can't waste any time. Your things are in my luggage."
Cindy went out first, while James and Jessie followed her. Olivia had to put Snow on the ground first and quickly put on her shoes. After they were on, she also put on her comfortable coat against the cold. It also did even have a kangaroo pocket. She picked up Snow and carefully laid her in with her head out so she could breathe. "Comfortable?"
Snow looked up at her. "Yes. Let's catch up with others."
Olivia petted Snow and headed for the door. She looked over her shoulder for the last time with a sad look. She had lived all her life in this place but now she was sent to safety along with her friends. She said goodbye in her mind before closing the door.
