A knot

77 24 8

A piece of thread,
Cut by a pair of scissors.
It never knew it would part ways with its other half.

Those separated companions,
Longing to make ends meet,
I couldn't resist reuniting them.

I lifted my hands,
Tried to join the ends.
I tied a knot,
Distance was all it brought.

I tried to bring them close,
But differences were all what arose.
They were not the same anymore,
Not in one frame anymore.

The connection wasn't the same,
Their relation was burning up in flames.
They were separated by a knot,
Love was what they were falling of short.

It was all a tangled mess,
All that was among them was stress.
They had problems,
And were in a situation of distress.

Their connection was not the same anymore,
They cannot be with each other for years four.
One day the knot will untie
And they'll wave their final goodbye.
