Monday, August 30th

The teacher goes on and on about some subject that I failed to pay attention to. I know it's the first day of class and I need to focus, but with the killer out there it's very hard to. The school is working with the police, trying to find the killer, but so far they have no leads. I just wish I could have one peaceful school year.

"And that's it for the first day. No homework, but I hope we can enjoy this class together! See you all on Wednesday!" The teacher exclaims, bringing me back to focus. I slip out of the class and out into the hall. Many people crowd past me, on their way to their next class. Luckily, I scheduled myself to only have this one class on Monday. Instead, I head back to my dorm. I'm pretty sure Lexi will still be out. She seemed to have a lot of classes today.

It doesn't take me long to get back to my dorm. Slipping in my room, I bounce onto my bed and check my phone. Only one new message. I tap it open.

Flynn

- Hey! Wondering if you're free for the rest of the day?

-Yeah, what's up?

-Want to meet at Brewed with me and Brianna?

-Sure, when?

-Right now?

...

I pull up to Brewed, locking my car doors once I get out. Since Luci died, mom and dad allowed me to have his car. I have mixed emotions about it, and they told me I didn't have to take it. Actually, they offered to sell it and let me buy a different one. I thought about it, but honestly, I like feeling connected to him still.

I walk into Brewed and instantly spot Flynn, as well as Brianna. They wave me over as I make my way to the table. I slide into the empty booth.

"How were your classes?" Brianna asks me.

"I only had one today, and it went pretty well," I inform her.

"I had two," Flynn pouts, "And they were pretty early in the morning."

"That sucks."

"So, anyway, I heard that you broke up with Dean," Brianna states.

"Wow, how? So fast? I did that just yesterday," I gape at her.

"I have ears and eyes everywhere," She grins mischievously.

"Huh, well, yeah I did. I told him and Nick that I just needed to figure out shit, and this isn't exactly the best time to be having these problems, y'know?"

"Makes sense," Brianna shrugs.

"Girl, you have two hot guys falling for you, and you're just going to deny them both?" Flynn asks, staring dead straight at me.

I feel my face heat up, "I don't know what I want, and I don't want to lead them on."

"If you're not careful you'll lose both of them," He shakes his head.

"He has a point," Brianna agrees, "But also, dating either one of them before you're ready is also bad."

"So, I can't take too long, but I can't date before I'm ready," I say, "Wow, lots of room."

"It's the worst, I know," Flynn nods, "But on the other hand you could try for Vincent."

"Shut up, Flynn," Brianna complains, "You already have a hot Polish guy!"

"Well, I don't have Sebastien," Flynn argues.

"But you will soon," Brianna narrows her eyes at him, "When you eventually set another date up."

"I'm working on it!" Flynn crosses his arms.

I snort, "So, is the only reason you guys wanted to meet up because I broke up with Dean?"

"Not only that," Brianna shakes her head, "But I found some intel about a club."

"A club?" I ask.

"Yes, it's some famous downtown college club that a lot of people go to."

"Okay, and why is that important?" I raise an eyebrow, "We already know the killer doesn't care about big party-like things."

"This isn't for the killer," Brianna shakes her head, "Well, not that we know of. Anyway, we found out that two famous twins frequent there."

"Wait, you mean that Vincent goes there a lot?"

"Has been for the past week," Flynn nods, "It's the perfect place to run into him, and maybe find some intel."

"Do you know how dangerous that could be if he is the killer?" But my heart has already skipped a beat, and I can feel excitement in the pit of my stomach. This is such a betrayal. It is weird though, he said he doesn't like parties. I guess going to a club is a bit different than partying. Maybe Erin drags him there?

"Just take Lexi," Flynn shrugs.

"What's she going to do?" I deadpan.

"Protect you with her bisexual ways," Brianna shrugs, "Either way, better that than going alone."

"True," I sigh, "I guess I'm going to a club. When should I go?"

"We were hoping tonight?" Brianna suggests.

"Tonight?" I glance at the clock overhead, it's barely past two, "Why tonight?"

"The sooner the better," Flynn shrugs.

"And we already know he's going to be there," Brianna answers, "So, go ahead and text Lexi."

"Why don't you guys come with me?" I ask.

"I have a night class," Flynn pouts.

"I am a minor," Brianna adds.

"Fair."

"So, it's a plan?" Brianna asks.

"And you'll tell us all about it when you're done?" Flynn grins.

"Yes, and yes," I shake my head.

"Okay good, but what're you going to wear?" Brianna asks, judging my hoodie and jeans.

I groan, "Are we going shopping?"

"Yes."

...

I rub my hands down the front of my new black dress, the v-neck a little too low. Brianna tried to force me to wear heels, but I refused, so instead, I'm in my black combat boots. Better for running anyway. These have helped me survive two killers, they'll help me survive a club.

"ID," The bouncer says as I get to the door.

I hold it out, "Not here to drink, only to dance."

He looks at my ID, "You can go in, but I can't give you a stamp."

"That's fine, like I said, here to dance."

He motions me in, and I make my way into the very loud building. Bodies crowd all around me, swaying to the music. I spot many girls flirting with many people. Maybe I shouldn't have come here. The air feels tight as I struggle to breathe, bumping into almost everyone. I shouldn't have agreed to this. I spot the bathroom and rush for it. This is going to end badly.
