A year had passed ever since you last saw Tanjiro. You missed him, since he was your friend when Giyuu was gone.
You were heading towards a mission in Mt. Mitake. It was not a long journey. You managed to arrive before sunset and you enjoyed the magnificent view.
The sun went down and you were left in darkness. You trudged up to the peak of the mountain and sure enough, you smelled blood.
You ran quickly in the direction of the screams and you almost puked.
Blood splattered on the trees and fallen leaves. Corpses and limbs of the fallen slayers lay on the ground, forming a huge mountain. It towered over you. You looked up and saw a demon, sitting on it as if it was a precious throne he owned. He licked his lips and on his eyes, Lower moon 3 was written. It looked down on you with a disgusting smile and laughed. "Ne, ne! A demon slayer huh? You give off a powerful vibe, are you a hashira?" He said.
You rolled your eyes and ignored him. This action made the demon VERY irritated. "You dare ignore me? You know who I am right?!" He pointed at his eye. You jumped up and tried to slash at his neck but you missed. He appeared behind you and kicked you to a nearby tree. Coughing out blood, you stood up and ran at him again. This time, you managed to slash his limbs.
"What?! How? You filthy child! I'll kill you, I promise! Blood demon art, Throne of Thorns!" He said. Thorns appeared on his skin and charged at you, which you quickly dodged. You landed on the ground and used your breath.
"Rose breathing, tenth form: Ravishing Rose!" You yelled. You charged at the demon and raised your sword, a blinding light appeared. The demon fell to the ground and screamed in pain. You used this opportunity to slice the demon's neck. The head flew away and hit a tree trunk. The demon cried and then disintegrated, along with its body.
You sighed and turned around, you only suffered a broken rib, so it was okay. You heard the crunching of leaves and you looked up. A girl older than you approached you. She had pink hair with green tips and was wearing a.. rather revealing uniform.
You tilted your head as she beamed at you. "That was quite powerful of you, defeating a twelve kizuki without a companion. What's your name?" She asked.
You smiled at her and said, "Thank you! My name is Y/n Tomioka, what's yours?".
She looked quite shocked to hear your last name but quickly regained her composure. "My name is Mitsuri Kanroji. Want to be my tsuguko?" She replied.
You looked at her confused. "What's a tsuguko?" You asked.
"Oh, since I'm a hashira, once I take you in as my student, you'll become my tsuguko. If anything happens to me, you'll become a hashira." She explained.
I beamed and said, "Yes, I want to! Can I call you Mitsuri-san?" You replied. She nodded and hugged you. You hugged her back and together, you walked back to her estate.
Once you arrived, she led you to your room. You thanked her and headed towards the shower.
❧Your pov
I grabbed a towel and stepped into the bath. I winced a little because of my rib but relaxed soon after. I stepped out once I was finished and wrapped a bandage on my torso. I wrapped my towel around me and stepped out. Opening the closet, I grabbed a simple white yukata and wore it. I opened the door and went to the dining room to eat.
"Itadakimasu!" I said. I took a bite and.. wow! Her food is so delicious! I ate 6 bowls before grabbing another one. Mitsuri chuckled at my appetite. It wasn't everyday that she sees a girl having the same appetite as her! She looked at me and smiled.
"So, Y/n-chan! Are you and Tomioka-san siblings?" She asked. I nodded my head and stood up to put my bowls in the sink. I started washing them and wiped my hands. "Goodnight, Mitsuri-san!" I said. She nodded and I headed towards my room. I grabbed a futon and put it on a floor. I laid down and fell asleep.

It has been 2 days since I met Mitsuri on that mission. We grew closer together, she even introduced me another girl to befriend! Her name is Kanako. We instantly clicked together because of our interests. We're best friends!
"Kanako!" I said. She looked at me and smiled. "Ah, Y/n! I was just looking for you. Mitsuri asked you to come with her for a trial, and Oyakata-sama approved!" Kanako said. Stars appeared around me and I jumped up and down. "Yes! Of course!" I hugged her and said goodbye.
I ran towards the Love Estate and I saw Mitsuri standing in front. She nodded and smiled and together, we sped off towards the Ubuyashiki Estate.
Once we arrived, I saw the other hashiras. One boy caught my attention. He had long black hair with mint-green tips and mint-green eyes.
He stared back at me and we remained that way until Mitsuri pulled me. He followed my direction and that was until she pushed me into SOMEONE.
I steadied myself and bowed down. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you, sir!" I yelled.
It was going kinda well until I looked up. It was.. "GIYUU?!" I yelled. He widened his eyes. Some white Pomeranian yelled, "Oi! Respect your seniors!".
I looked at him and he was holding a box. I looked around and saw Tanjiro. "Tanjiro?" I muttered.
I noticed that he was knocked out. Kakushis were waking him up, seemingly afraid of the pillars.
"Hey, wake up! You're in the presence of the hashiras!" They said with a fearful tone.
His eyes fluttered open and he looked around. "Y/n?!" He said. He looked at Shinazugawa and yelled, "Nezuko!"
"So you're the slayer that thinks a demon could accompany you? You know what we call that? A total delusion you moron!" He stabbed the box. A scream of pain emitted from the box and blood came out.
"If you can't even tell good demons from the bad ones, then you don't deserve to be a hashira!" Tanjiro yelled. 'Does he have a death wish?!' I thought.
"What did you say?!" Shinazugawa said. Tanjiro lunged forward and before Shinazugawa could attack him, he headbutted the Pomeranian and they fell to the floor.
Me and Mitsuri laughed out loud at the scene and everybody looked at us. We quickly turned red and apologized.
