I laughed.

"You- you're so cute!" I said between a fit of hysterical laughter.

His face turned even redder and he pouted, which made me laugh a little more. After what seemed like a few minutes, the laughing finally died away.

Muichiro stopped pouting and looked at me, the stoic expression back on his face.

"I was not jealous." He stated. I smiled at what he said and replied, "Yeah, sure. Whatever!" I chuckled and rolled my eyes.

He turned around, waved his hand, and took of running to who knows where.

Damn, not even a goodbye? That kinda hurt... no, stop thinking about it! That's how he is..

I walked off into my estate to get ready for bed. After all, the sun was setting and I didn't have any missions today.

I hummed a tune that was stored in the back of my mind as I walked through the maze-like halls of my estate.

I found the bathroom and turned the doorknob to open it. I took a bath and went into my bedroom.

I slipped on a simple white yukata that I was comfortable in. Just as I hung my towel on the rack, someone knocked on the door.

I hurried off towards the front door and slid it open.

In front of my house stood a man with brightly-colored hair, a yellow and red shade.

"Hello, what brings you here?" I asked cheerily. He smiled at me and said, "Hello, Tomioka-san! I just came here to congratulate you on becoming a hashira!". Taking out his hand, I saw that he was holding a bento box. I gasped.

"Wahhh! Thank you so much, uhh.." I trailed off. "Just call me Kyo. It's my first name!" He shouted.

"Well then, Kyo! Call me Y/n!" I cheered. He chuckled at my excited state. I took the bento box from his hand and he smiled brightly again. "I must get going now, goodbye Y/n!" He waved. I nodded and smiled before sliding the door closed.

I walked off to go to the kitchen. Once I arrived, I gently placed the bento box on the counter and went to my room.

I laid down on my futon.

Smiling, I thought to myself.

I like that guy. Bright, cheery, kind, and happy! He could be my friend, yay!

And with that, I drifted off into a dreamless slumber.
