They all stood in awe, witnessing Ira's formidable display of skill as she effortlessly took down all five minotaurs. Only Riaan and Aesha seemed unfazed, having likely seen her prowess before.
As they watched Ira's battle unfold on the holographic screen inside the spacecraft, a sense of admiration grew among the four friends, but they couldn't yet forget that their three friends had lied to them.
"Excellent job, Ira!" Aesha complimented, her eyes locked on the screen. "But now, how do you plan to get out of there?"
Riaan chimed in, voicing his concern, "And the poisonous air might start affecting you soon."
Startled by the unexpected voice from the flying ball, Luminexa, Ira replied, "Ah! You scared me."
She scanned her surroundings in the cave, taking note of the rocks and the blue substance on the ceiling. The unconscious bodies of the minotaurs lay before her, but her attention was drawn to the opening of another cave nearby.
She was betting on her memory right now. If she remembered wrong, it's gonna be a big issue.
"In my memory," Ira began, "I recall that our home planet sent some expedition teams to Wyron to explore it. One of the spare spaceships was left behind here. If I can find it, I can escape. It should be hidden in one of these caves."
Impressed, Riaan acknowledged her foresight, "So, you did think this through. But locating the ship won't be easy."
Concern etched on her face, Aesha added, "Yes, and darkness will descend in few minutes, bringing poisonous air with it."
Ira reassured them, "No worries. All spaceships from our home planet have a built-in chip that reveals their location in case they are lost. I just need to hack into the chip, and the coordinates will be ours."
Nodding in agreement, both Aesha and Riaan allowed Ira to proceed with her plan. She settled on a rock, tapped her watch, and a holographic screen materialized before her. With skillful determination, she began searching for the chip's location in her immediate surroundings and initiated the hacking process.
After a few tense moments, Ira's sudden shout caught everyone off guard, drawing their attention back to the holographic screen before them.
She couldn't contain her excitement, well her memory isn't bad. She was happy.
Riaan, perplexed, asked, "Why are you shouting, Ira?"
Ira's face lit up with delight as she looked at the hovering drone beside her. "I found the spacecraft and successfully hacked into the chip. It's just four caves away from here!"
She couldn't help but thank herself for learning these skills when she was younger.
Riaan and Aesha let out a collective sigh of relief. "That's great news," they exclaimed. "Now go, find the ship, and make your way back to us."
With a determined nod, Ira set off, following the coordinates displayed on her screen. Swiftly, she made her way through the caves, and before long, the spacecraft came into view. Excitement surged within her as she stepped inside, immediately connecting her watch to assess the condition of the vessel. To her relief, everything appeared to be in working order.
As she prepared to depart, Ira linked her drone to the spacecraft, causing a holographic screen to materialize in front of her. Now, she could see her friends' faces, their concern transforming into smiles of anticipation.
Observing the holographic screen displaying the spacecraft's status, Ira exclaimed, "Great news! The spacecraft is fully functional, and I'm prepared to embark on my journey back to our home planet. I will be home in a few minutes."
