It's been a month since Lan Qiren died, Xichen finally came out of seclusion after a month of mourning.
That night it rained heavily, Xichen just sat in his room meditating. He opened his eyes, and smiled, then he said "why are you still standing there? You can come in whenever you want"
The door opened, and Lan Zhan was there. Xichen smiled at him "Wangji" he called softly
His face remained focused and serious, but his eyes softened when he saw his brother's smile.
"Come in, I'll pour you a warm cup of tea."
Lan Zhan nodded, he then walked in and sat in front of Xichen.
Xichen took the pot of tea, and poured it into a glass, then gave it to Lan Zhan.
Lan Zhan blew on the tea and drank it
"How is today?" Xichen asked
"There is No big problem" Lan Zhan replied
"Then why did you come back so late?" Xichen asked again
"Just checking something" Lan Zhan replied, in a cold tone "what about Xiongzhang?" He asked back
Xichen sighed, he then smiled a little "I'm fine, no need to worry. And tomorrow I will lead the sect again" he answered
"If Xiongzhang needs help, just call me or Weiying. We are ready to help Xiongzhang" Lan Zhan said
"I know I can always count on you two!" Xichen said happily
There was silence for a moment
"Xiongzhang..." Lan Zhan called
"Hmn?"
"Actually, Wangji went down the mountain to investigate something."
"About what?"
"Shufu's death"
Xichen's face turned serious "why?" He asked in a serious tone
"His death, we all know he was attacked. Many thought he was attacked by an evil spirit. However, this morning I visited one of the disciples who accompanied him that day-"
"Didn't everyone die in the forest during the attack?"
Lan Zhan shook his head "One of them survived. He was in a coma and only woke up this morning, he said it was not an attack by an evil spirit, but someone controlling the spirit."

Lan Zhan nodded, he stood up then bowed to Xichen Wangji take his leave" he then left Hansi
When he was alone, Xichen's expression turned dark, he clenched his fists, and his eyes depicted hatred
