Smears the painting
Of the holy Mary
Staring with reverance
Sacrifice of soul
Heart swapped with mind
A smile stretches
Sharp and delighted
With eyes twinkling
Like millions of stars stolen
As it welcomes submission
In hold rigid and cold
Waiting for the night
To snuff the last light
