Black holes colliding
End of worlds
Creation of life
Immortality in death
With loss of humanity
Time reversed and bent and touched
An old friend a stranger
Bigger than sun
Smaller than dust
A speck of nothingness your home
A choice after choice after choice
A hunger for the unexplored
Unknown is where you exist
Where you live and cry and kiss and smile and break apart
All the galaxies combust under your gentle touch
But when you kick and scream and shout
Frustration mixed with anger and regret
End up consumed
Turned into dark matter
Led to salvation
Exchange of trust
Infinite and irresistible
Burning in its intensity
Smelling of mistakes and new starts
Forgetting and moving on
Remembering and forgiving
Getting lost in the vacuum of your lover's touch
Melting asteroids burn your wayward heart
When you glimpse the shine in their eyes
Reflecting meteor showers
Sparkling and gold like a whiskey sunset
Ready to combust into a million translucent pieces
Candescent soul blinding everything in sight
Planets exploding
The universe imploding
No sound not even a whisper
About the why and the how of it all
Only the beginning and the end
Merged into one brilliant being
Orbiting each other
For years or days or maybe a fraction of a second or millenia
A forever but slightly to the left
Shining like a dead star
A paradox in a neverending cascade of tears
Moons made of devotion
Comets falling
Leaving behind destruction in the wake of their love
A sign of "I was here
I felt and had and made and took and grieved
I gained and I lost and I won
But was it enough
Will it ever be"
Even constallations have to leave behind a broken legacy
Planets rise and fall with their oceans
At the turn of a tide
From dust they come
To dust they shall return
The embrace of nebulae
Feather-light blink-and-you-miss-it
Memory foggy yet reliable
Memories erased yet still treasured
Inventions always remember their creator
No matter how big and bright and untouchable
Escapable but still loving
And in return loved
