You see buildings crumbling
falling into the sea
broken bridges none can cross
when you look at me
You heart is bleeding
pierced by shards of glass
obscured misty memories
all line up the path
Nowhere to hide
nowhere to lie
You walk the empty streets
exploring on your own
ducking behind corners
to make sure you're alone
You cry gentle tears
when the Sun goes down
slipping inside your bed
no one ever comes around
The end is here
and I'm not near
You sit at the edge
and look up to the sky
consumed by the abyss
you just don't know why
You trudge through the rivers
water rising to your knees
endless problems drowning
wondering what it means
You want me back
I want you back
You see the stars collide
how they explode
once were shining bright
now they're not anymore
You don't know what to do
when things get like this
running from the truth
remembering our first kiss
You stay back
I won't be back
You don't know how to laugh
when I'm not by your side
like a bird with broken wings
who will never fly
You no longer see yourself
reflected in my eyes
regretting the day
we had to say goodbye
You know that
we had to say goodbye
even though it hurts
we had to say goodbye
You're looking at me baby
and I just can't say goodbye
