The Surprise

Mars' POV

The lights onstage started to dim and the beginning of Anarchist started to play which signaled that Dom had to go on stage. He smiled at me before running out onstage. He sang Anarchist while the fans screamed the words.

Colson appeared out of nowhere and scared the hell out of me by the time Dom finished Anarchist.

"Jesus Christ where did you come from?!" I yelled over the sound of the fans screaming. He smiled and sat next to me.

"THIS NEXT SONG IS ABOUT NORTHERN ENGLAND!!!" Dom yelled into his mic and the fans started screaming impossibly louder. Dom started singing I Love You, Will You Marry Me while the fans and I yelled every single word. When the song ended, Dom threw his guitar across the stage and one of the staff next to me caught it.

When Dom ended Braindead he stopped the show because a fan blacked out and told security to help them before smoothly starting the show again.

Dom sang parents and then when he sang Lowlife the fans went absolutely nuts. Probably one of my favorite parts of the show so far. After Lowlife, Dom sang Tissues and then when he finished, Colson ran onstage and they sang I Think I'm Okay together. When it came to an end, Dom and Kells said goodbye to each other before Colson ran backstage and said goodbye to me before leaving.

After that, Dom sang Hope for the Underrated Youth and Don't Feel Like Feeling Sad Today. He then sang Strawberry Lipstick and that's when he gave Adam his famous kiss.

By the time Strawberry Lipstick came to an end he took a break to just look around the venue. He smiled before saying "I have a surprise for ya I think you'll like!!"

The fans screamed and he smiled even more. He then looked at me offstage and waved for me to come on. I gave him a confused look and he mouthed 'come on, it's alright'.

I got up from my seat and hesitated before stepping onstage and then walking to Dom. He put his arm around me and I looked around to see what expressions everyone had. They all seemed happy still which made me relax a little.

"Guys this is Mars, yes like the song, They're only 13 and they were kicked out of their house when they came out as agender and bisexual. Luckily, I found them on the streets in Illinois and I took them in with me," he paused and looked down at me before continuing "Mars told me that I was the reason they came out but I don't believe that, I believe that they came out because we, the BHC, made it seem like it was okay for them to be themselves. Even though their parent didn't except them, we will!"

The crowd started screaming again and we both smiled.

"Now Mars, I have a question, what song would you like to sing with me?" He gave me the mic.

"W-wait you want me to sing?" I asked into the mic. He nodded.

"Uhhh..." I thought for a minute. He hasn't done mars yet.

"Mars!" The crowd screamed in agreement.

"I knew you were gonna say that," he smiled. He looked off stage and signed for someone to get me a guitar and one of the staff brought me a bass.

I played the first chord and sang into the mic with Dom. The crowd was screaming all the words as well. When I was singing I felt so free, like being here with Dom and the Black Hearts Club just allowed me to be myself without holding me back at all.

Here onstage I felt at home.

Me and Dom sang the last line and he bowed as I did a little curtsy that some of the fans and I laughed at. Someone threw an inclusive pride flag onstage which I grabbed and Dom helped me spread it out. The crowd screamed so loudly my ears hurt. Now that was my favorite part of the show. Dom threw the pride flag back into the crowd and smiled at me.

"How would you feel if we did that more often?" He asked me into his microphone.

"I think I would love it."

"Alright so we're gonna make it a new tradition! Every time we sing mars we're gonna have Mars come and sing it with us!" The crowd cheered and I smiled a very, very big smile.

I was starting to get out of breath and needed my inhaler which Dom noticed and said "Mars is gonna see you all outside in a few minutes but right now they need to rest so everyone say bye!"

The crowd screamed bye and I waved to them before Tom helped me offstage and gave me my inhaler.

I took a few puffs and after I could breathe normally again I gave it back to him and he smiled.

After Dom did his outro he said goodbye and then came backstage and took a few puffs from his own inhaler. "Did you like your surprise?" He asked me once he could breathe properly.

"Like it? I FUCKING LOVED IT!!" He smiled.

"We're gonna go outside after I shower and talk to some fans and then we'll go back to the bus," he explained. I nodded and followed him to his dressing room where he had his clothes and an oversized shirt for me to wear so I wasn't all sweaty. I took it and then changed when he left to go shower.

When he finished I followed him out of the venue where fans were waiting for us.

"Hey guys, it's Dom and Mars!!" A fan screamed from behind a barrier.

All the fans looked at us and began screaming so much their vocal chords had to have hurt by now.

Dom and I walked over to a group and we talked to them. I was really surprised when one of them asked me to take a picture with them. "Thank you!!" She said and I smiled at her and then we talked to a few more fans before going back to the bus.

I decided to shower in the morning because I was too lazy to now.

"Tomorrow I have an interview so you'll stay with Waterparks until I get back."

I nodded and then put a Mac n cheese bowl thingy in the microwave that I'm gonna have for dinner.

That show was amazing but it took a lot of energy outta me. So after I finished the macaroni I said goodnight to everyone before going to bed.
