Mars' POV

"Wake up Mars, get ready for court, don't dress too emo," I heard Dom chuckle as he shook me awake.

"What time is it?" I tiredly asked him.

"7:00," he mumbled before leaving my room for me too change.

I got out of my bed and changed into this outfit:

After, I went to the bathroom and brushed teeth and hair

After, I went to the bathroom and brushed teeth and hair. Ughhh, my hair looks so gross now that the hair dye is basically all gone.

I walked downstairs and to the kitchen where Dom had two plates with waffles on them and orange juice. I smiled as I walked towards him. He was already eating his food so I sat on the bar stool next to his and ate my waffles.

By the time I finished, Tom and Adam came downstairs and said good morning to me before making themselves breakfast.

After we all ate, we put shoes on and then left the house. We all jumbled into Dom's car and drove to Awsten's house. (They don't have a car so we're picking them up)

Dom honked the horn and a few seconds later, three very tired boys slumped into his car and mumbled a good morning to us.

The drive was silent the whole time except for the music playing quietly on the radio.

When we finally arrived at the courthouse, Dom parked next to the car I wish I didn't see.

My mom's car that she barely was able to afford. Luckily, no one was in it.

"Good fucking morning," Colson said tiredly.

"Morning Colson," I mumbled as I hugged him.

I held Dom's hand as we walked into the courthouse and into our courtroom. That's where I saw them, my biological parents and sister.

They didn't notice us though thankfully, but Dom sure did. He glared daggers at them while we walked to our seats.

Everyone besides me and Dom are sitting in the back of the room while me and him are towards the front. His lawyer, Kathy, was talking to him while I tried my best to not make eye contact with my parents.

The judge and jury walked into the room and some officers closed the doors to the courtroom which meant that we we're starting.

I don't know anything about how court works so just bare with me here

"Today we are here to decide wether or not Mars Jacobs' custody will be handed over to Dominic Harrison or if she will remain with her biological parents," the judge began.

Dom stiffened when he used the wrong pronouns.

"Mrs. Jacobs, you have the floor to explain why she should be allowed to stay with you," the judge said.

My mother stood up and then proceeded to tell the whole courtroom nothing but lies, saying that I've had a wonderful life there.

"Please sit back down Mrs. Jacobs," the judge said after she finished.

"Mrs. Smith, you have the floor, tell us why Ms. Jacobs' custody should be handed over to Mr. Harrison," the judge told Kathy.

Kathy explained how well Dom has taken care of me and how he helped me through depression and an eating disorder caused by my parents.

"Mrs. Smith, does Mr Harrison have any witnesses?" The judge asked her.

"Yes, would Adam Warrington please come to the podium?"

Adam got up from his seat and sat in the podium as he was asked.

"Mr. Warrington, you were one of the first people to see Mars after Dominic brought them to Los Angeles, correct?"

Adam nodded.

"Is it true that when you saw Mars, they had bruises, scars, and were very thin?"

"Yes that is true," he said.

"Is it also true that over the two months that Mars was with Dominic, they're weight increased drastically and those scars and bruises were gone?"

"Yes."

"No further questions your honor," she says before her and Adam went back to their seats.

"Mrs. Jacobs, do you have any one you would like to call to the podium?" The judge asked.

"Yes, my daughter, Autumn Jacobs," she said.

Autumn and her stood from their chairs. As she sat in the podium, I noticed tons of scars and cuts on her arm.

"Autumn, how would you say your life in the past 12 years has been?"

"It's been great but ever since Mars left, things just haven't been the same," she answered coldly. She's lying, I know it.

"Objection, your honor!" Kathy says.

"Withdrawn," my mother smirked.

"No further questions." I watched them both go back to their seats, my mother tripping over her cheap heels that still have the sticker on them.

"I have made my decision," the judge declared.

"Ms. Jacobs will continue to live with her parents until further notice."

Dominic, Colson, Adam, Awsten, Tom, Otto and Geoff all immediately started shouting at him, disagreeing with everything my mother told him.

There's no way they won.

Dominic and Awsten tried to grab me but security held them back as my father harshly picked me up and took me out of the courtroom.

How could he vote in their favor?

Tell me this is all just a dream!

I didn't even try to fight back as he carried me out of the court house and dropped me into my mother's car. Autumn sat next to me while sobbing and my parents got in the front. My father sped away from the courthouse.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Dom trying to chase after us.

No tears fell, I didn't feel anything inside, just...empty.

This isn't real....
