shipwreck.
you're ready to fly, but I'm just learning to crawl
when i said: "i'll always be here for you"
i meant, until the moment I could hold you close.
because we've been sailing this tides with just a lifeboat,
this frantic voyage where the seas were merely fool's gold.we both knew that someday the moment will come
if this ship deflates with just one sharp "sorry, we're done"
i know that we will lose our touch
but i know that you'll move forward and swim around,
for someone who doesn't know how, i know, i will drownwe never been into a real ship
but i can't deny that every moment was priceless
because i had you by my side, i didn't go alone to face the abyss
from the night's chill, to the sun's scorching heat,
we continue going with the flow of our heartbeatsi risked and took the chance to be with you
vut i knew from the start that sooner or later
we will have no choice but to grow apart.
you are the optimism while I am the pessimism
Now the perception was this simple;you're ready to fly and i'm just starting to crawl
one day you'll say: "i've had enough of you"
and the world will stop, the time couldn't get any slower
but despite of the pain, i'll smile and say, "I told you so".
We'll have no other choice than to let it go.because i warned you from the start,
that this ship could fall apart.
but i'm just happy that you came,
now i know that you're gone
things could never be the same.i guess that's how most of the story goes
we will meet people, and end up loving them the most.
but truthfully speaking,
we introduce ourselves to other people's lives
just so we could hang long enough to bid our goodbyes.
