Y/N'S POV

After watching their practice, they received some great comments and compliments from Dahyun. As they turned their heads to me, I took discreet glances at my rival penguin for a few seconds and gave them a thumbs up, making them jump in happiness.

They never expected that I would give them a thumbs up, as they usually ignored it, and they were always used to this kind of presence.

We reached the gym and ate the food Tzuyu ordered earlier for us.

"Why did you guys take so long?" Tzuyu asked.

I took a bite of my steak and carefully swallowed it.

"So true, I was about to eat your food. What a waste," Jeongyeon said, clicking her tongue.

"Well, we just watched some dance practice with Momo's company," she said with a smile as her cheeks blushed instantly.

"Is Nabong there?" Jeongyeon asked suddenly, making my brow raise for a while.

Interested in the bunny, huh?

Dahyun only chuckled. "Nope," she replied shortly.

"How did you persuade her to watch?" Tzuyu asked, glancing at me and then back at Dahyun.

Yeah, she's asking about me, blah blah.

"I pulled her, and she had no choice since I held her tightly," Dahyun explained, taking a drink from her water bottle.

"If I'm not mistaken, it's not a solo performance," Jeongyeon said.

"Ah, yeah, it's a duo, and she's with Mina," Dahyun stated with a smile.

I was about to bite my steak, but their heads turned around to me, showing their teasing and annoying faces, making me stop from eating.

I raised one brow and looked at each one of them.

"What?" I said, annoyed.

"Ahh... that's why Dahyun pulled you easily, huh?" Tzuyu said with a teasing smile to me.

"Wait—I don't even know that she's there." I automatically paused and facepalmed after realizing what I just said to them.

I'm too defensive, you know?

Tzuyu widened her eyes along with Dahyun and Jeongyeon. They were all surprised at what I said, making me gulp and feel nervous right away.

"Tsk. Defensive much? Just admit it." Jeongyeon said as she smirked.

I just rolled my eyes at her.

"Admit what?" I asked them while furrowing my brows again.

"That you agreed because she was there, right?" Jeongyeon wiggled her brows, teasing me.

"I told you, I don't even know she will be there." I protested.

"But you know, she's a dancer in the first place. You could decline, but instead, you just went with the flow with Dahyun." Tzuyu stated confidently.

I groaned in frustration, making them chuckle.

Are they trying to say that I wanted to watch Mina?

I hate to admit it, but yes, she's a good dancer, though.

I sighed when I remembered the day I watched her before; she temporarily calmed my troubled mind.

"Okay, guys, she admitted that! She didn't even deny," Jeongyeon exclaimed cheerfully as I totally facepalmed with a disgusted gaze on her.

Can I excuse the fact that I'm just busy with my own thoughts for a second?

- Time skipped –

I'm here at the restaurant with Irene. She invited me to go here for dinner since she's too lazy to cook.

I'm still wearing my uniform and didn't get a chance to change since she messaged me as soon as possible after class.

"So, how's your day?" Irene started as she took a bite of her steak.

"Why do you keep asking the same question again? It's irritating, you know?" I said rudely and focused on my food.

I heard her chuckling, making me look up.

"Alright, take two." She drank her water first before she continued, "So, how's your day with Mina? You didn't tell me both of you are representatives for the quiz bee."

I'm not surprised. I'm planning NOT to tell her about this, but I have no choice since Mina was there at our house before.

"You wait for me to caught you," she added.

"Actually, I don't want you to know, and besides, you're going to tell this to our parents once they're here," I stated and sipped on my drink.

"I'm sorry about that. I want them to know what efforts you made so that they'll know you're doing your best," she explained her side with a concerned voice.

"But they aren't proud, so don't you ever say again, especially about this quiz bee thingy, because they're not appreciating me at all," I said deeply, still wearing a poker face.

She just nodded. The silence surrounded us as we both focused on finishing our food so we could go home.
