Y/N'S POV
After a few announcements in the gym, we immediately proceeded to the biggest room and sat in the assigned seats with our name tags representing our school placed above the desk.
Everything we brought was confiscated, even our pockets were checked for possible hidden codes to ensure there would be no cheating later.
I was thankful that the jerks were seated at the back, far from us. But what I couldn't understand was why they needed to stare at our backs?
As if I'm insensitive and indifferent, then I wouldn't have noticed. Even if I ain't the one that jerk's eyeballing, it feels creepy for me
I took some glances at my back to see him, and I was right, he was staring intently at us, especially at the penguin sitting beside me.
I'm getting nervous here. Maybe later, this guy turns out to be a psycho, and after this quiz, he'll follow us, and then—
"Are you okay?" a soft voice on my side made me pause from my foolish thoughts.
Mina...
I glanced at her, meeting her eyes with full concern.
I should be the one asking her that, right? Isn't she feeling uneasy with those eyes staring at her from behind?
"Y/n?" She asked me again, pulling me out of my thoughts.
I nodded slowly as she looked at me, clearly confused.
She might find me weird...
"H-how about you? Are you comfortable in your seat?" I mentally facepalmed because I stuttered.
She smiled genuinely, making my heart go bAnG bAnG bAng...
Maybe Irene is right...
She can kill me with that smile, especially when she shows me her gummy smile.
"I'll always be comfortable as long as I'm with you," she said with her soft voice that only I could hear.
My eyes widened, and I froze when I heard those words coming from her mouth.
And at this moment, I didn't realize that my heart was starting to get weak.
I heard her giggles, snapping me out of my thoughts. I blushed instantly and was about to speak when the teacher started announcing something.
- Time Skipped -
After the announcements and the rules were laid out for the quiz, they distributed ballpens, correction tape, and the test paper.
Since we have a partner for this quiz bee competition, we were given 30 minutes for each subject, making it quite intense.
The worst part is that Mathematics is the first subject we have to tackle.
We wrote our names and our school on the test papers.

Why didn't I notice it before?
Irene was right, she's good at writing.
As the teacher instructed us to start, we quickly flipped the test paper and focused on answering each question.
The sound of the clock echoed in the silent room, making the tension palpable with every passing second.
Since there are two test papers, we decided to answer each one separately to make it faster, given the 30-minute time limit and the 50 items in the exam.
As I finally found the answer to finding x, I immediately wrote the answer on the test paper, along with the complete solution.
I took a glance at my partner and was amazed at how she solved the math problems with such a calm demeanor.
And you know what?
Being the idiot I am, instead of answering the math problems, I was mesmerized by the side view of her face, which is truly gorgeous.
If you were in my situation, you'd probably be drooling right now, but for me, I can control myself.
When she looked at me and accidentally made a 5-second eye-to-eye contact with slow-motion effects on the surroundings.
I avoided my gaze from her and shrugged it off as what I'm thinking right now.
What the heck is that?
It's weird, though...
Damn, self, just focus, you're getting too distracted by her beauty.
THIRD PERSON POV
Meanwhile...
Once the time was up, each team member gathered, planning their strategy to outsmart the opposing team.
Dahyun grabbed a water bottle and took a sip. Suddenly, Jihyo appeared beside Dahyun, catching her off guard, though she didn't seem surprised.
"How are you? It's not a joke to get hit in the face." Jihyo expressed concern to Dahyun.
"Well, this is not my first time getting hit in the face... it's part of the play," Dahyun replied after taking a sip from her water bottle.
"True, when it comes to games... you should be aware that you might get hurt," Jihyo said in a sad tone, leaving Dahyun confused.
"Is that from the 'Hugot 101' book you're talking about? What a drama!" Dahyun laughed and walked out beside her, making Jihyo whine while pouting.
"I'm not being dramatic!" Jihyo exclaimed cutely.
After that, the referee blew the whistle, signaling them to return to their positions and get ready. It was Konkuk's team serving the ball, and everyone focused on the game.
The crowd became more intense, with powerful voices cheering for their teams, screaming as if it were the end of the world.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Sana, who was on the bench, was contemplating why Y/n messaged her about that. It felt kind of weird, especially considering they were in the midst of watching a volleyball game.
"Is she flirting with someone else?" Sana mumbled to herself while resting her chin on her palm.
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAHHHH FIGHTING DUBU!! LET THEM FEEL YOUR SPIKES TOO SO IT HURTS!" Momo yelled at the top of her lungs, causing Sana to flinch, while Nayeon and Jeongyeon immediately covered their ears.
"Yah, Momoring! Can you please stop shouting like that?! And right in front of my ears, really?" Nayeon said as she rolled her eyes and continued watching the game.
"Damn, you guys told me to cheer instead of eating, and now you're complaining that I'm too loud?" Momo stated and harshly grabbed her sandwich, taking a bite of it.
Jeongyeon ignored them and focused on the game, while Sana, awakened from her thoughts, also concentrated on the gameplay.
"Girl, don't do it in front of me, okay?" Nayeon said with a sarcastic tone as she crossed her arms.
"Nye nye nye, so many complaints," Momo mumbled, continuing to eat while focusing on the game.
