Chapter 5
Monday, 27th June, 1994I'll admit I still feel like shit. I just told Damon I didn't so he would ask to walk me back to my trailer or something. And because I do want to have a good time at Glastonbury, maybe it's better I've been drugged.
I'm all alone in the tent so I decide I need to find a familiar face.
I look around to see if I can notice any familiar faces and all of a sudden I find Liam standing with a beer next to Alex James.
My eyes widen at the sight and I start making my way over to the pair.
They seem to be engaged in some interesting conversation though it seems Liam is doing most of them talking.
"See the bigger the crowd the more you have to not move, that's the trick- oh Lara there you are." Liam wraps an arm around me "I was just teaching Alex how to be cooler on stage."
"You guys are friends now?" I ask, eyebrows raised up my forehead.
"What? No. I just came over to ask and see if my brother beat him up someway. The answer was 'no' he didn't, my brothers a fanny who's too scared to do shit. He also told me you're not Damon's bird so Alex isn't so bad now," Liam sips his beer.
"Liam was just apologising on behalf of Noel's actions." Alex pokes his head into the conversation, a smirk present on his face.
Liam will probably feel different in the morning. Either he's totally off his rocker or just really drunk.
"Liam's my favourite." Alex laughs, though I'm still not too sure if he even likes him.
Liam laughs and says something about Noel to Alex then speaks to me. "Be happy, I'm doing what you told me to, being mutual." Liam grins. If Liams being serious right now then I guess I should give Noel the same talk. It must've worked.
"And are you okay? Why did you run off?" asks Liam,
"I was sick, Liam. I think someone spiked our drinks earlier."
"Oh, is that why I feel so high? I was just telling Alex how I didn't think I needed drugs tonight." Liam starts laughing at himself.
I can't help but giggle too.
"You okay though?" Liam reassures me.
"I feel like I'm in a dream, but I'm good." I stick a thumbs up in Liam's face that only makes him grin.
"Lara's high, this is gonna be a good night."
I groan "Maybe we should go back to the trailer."
Liam shakes his head "No way." He puts an arm around my shoulder "We're here to have a good time, look around you, the best rock stars in the UK are around us, well second best, we're the best. Anyways, come on, enjoy yourself."
I shrug and give in as me and Liam say goodbye to Alex who's now busy dancing with some blonde girl.
He's dragging me through the crowd of people and then taking red cups off of randoms.
As if i don't feel bad enough I immediately down the beer, maybe it'll take my sore head away.
"Woah, chill out." Liam says, sounding a little worried.
I scrunch up my face from the bitter taste of beer.
Here I am again, pulling Liam into a group of dancing people, and jumping about mental to some disco music that I already love. I love dancing at parties, Liam doesn't seem to enjoy it as much as me but just goes along with it anyways. My mind set has just switched to having a good time cause who knows when i'll be back at a party like this without getting noticed.
