Chapter 3B - Awake

5/9/23 - Wed | Late Afternoon [Day of the fight]
".....but that was all I know", a voice said.
"Alright, thanks for letting me know", said another.
I open my eyes, but the light was too bright. I began to sit up, and I saw a woman besides me. I looked around, seeing informational posters and a computer. I'm in the nurses office.
"You sure got roughened up didn't you?", she said.
"Huh", I questioned.
"I mean you don't look the best"
I looked down at myself. I have scrapes all over my arm and barf all over my shirt.
"Ewww", I began repulsed by the sight of my shirt.
"Now look at me for just a moment and stay still." All of the sudden she shines a light in my eye. I was not prepared for that at all. "Woah woah woah it's ok just look straight forward.", she said responding to my sudden  atreaction.
"Looks like you got a concussion back there. We'll get your parents to pick you up and hopefully take you to see a doctor and see how bad it was and treatment is best for you."
    Last thing I can remember was spitting in Penny's food... wait no I remember we got into a fight. Guess I lost?
    "Oh and just a heads up the office will want you to complete and incident report when you feel better. By the way, I never got your name."
    "Oh, it's Cassidy."
    "Alright.... we contacted your parents so they should come sometime soon."
The nurse gave me some of the school's clothes to change into for the time being. They were a lot more comfortable than gross wet clothes.
You don't realize how boring it is waiting in the nurses office until you have to do that for 40 minutes. I can hear a lady yelling in the office, she must be piiiiissed. (There's 22 ceiling tiles in there btw.)

5/10/23 - Thurs
Yesterday I went to the doctor and got checked out. I did end up having a concussion, so I was told to just rest the next couple days, I got suspended for a week anyways so I'm in no rush to heal. I've had some time to think about it and I think I overreacted over Penny's words. Sure they hurt, but I shouldn't be an ass about it. I mean, look where it got me. I wonder what she's doing right now.

5/16/23 - Wed | Morning
    I'm back at school, but it's weird. Only a couple of my friends are talking to me, and the rest are avoiding me. I guess they don't want to be with someone who gets into fights. They'll realize they need me, I'm the therapist friend after all.

| 4th Period (English)
    I didn't see Penny so I asked one of her friends about it. Her name is erwi... em... Elowen.

    "Hey, Elowen right?", I asked.
    "What do you want?", she said reluctantly.
    "Oh, it's just I didn't see Penny today and I know you know her more than I do..."
    "Well you got her suspended for two weeks. I guess you only got one."
    "Yea... thanks for letting me know." I guess they caught her. Still, why did I get only one week instead of two? Weird.

| Lunch
I only sat with a few friends, the rest just kind of ignored me.
"You know I never expected you to get with Corbin, Cassidy. I'm so happy for you two!", Lyanna said.
"Hey it's that furry girl. You gonna mark your territory?", a voice yelled. I look behind me and there's a group of three boys looking at me.
"What are they talking about?", I whispered to Lyanna.
"Oh you didn't see? There's a leaked photo of you wearing cat ears and a tail-", she replied until I cut her off.
"THEY'RE FOX EARS", I yelled. Lyanna lifted her phone and showed me the picture she mentioned. I don't tell people about me being a furry because I knew people would make fun of me, but where was this picture from? I've never dressed up in front of anyone except- Penny. That asshole. I'm gonna beat her fucking ass this time.
