(Marilyn is/was not Laurel. And this takes place after the events of the first season of the show.)

Your work had always been something you prided yourself in. You were a teacher and you loved it. More than anything. What made it even better is that your girlfriend, Marilyn Thornhill, was also a teacher. You're an outcast, and she's a normie, but that never stopped the two of you from loving each-other, despite the array of rude comments you got about your relationship.

As much as you loved your job, there was one thing you didn't like about it. Exam seasons. All the students got stressed about it, causing a tense aura to constantly be triggered. For you, it was nice when they were quiet while taking the exams or studying for them, but sadly, the stress they had while studying for it, came when you had to grade it. All those students, all those exams, all added up to a lot of hours of work.

Usually, you would get around a month to grade all the exams, which worked in your favor because every student in the school took your class. This year though, Principal Weems decided to only give you a week and a half. How the hell did she expect you to grade so many papers in so little time?

You knew the stress was getting to be too much because you stopped taking proper care of yourself. Any onlooker could tell you weren't alright. You should've immediately went to Marilyn, but you knew she was busy grading as well, and you didn't wanna bother her.

It had been a week already and you had only gotten through grading 40% of the exams. You had been working through the day, and sleeping at night, as per usual, but you silently scolded yourself for being so 'irresponsible'. You were being too hard on yourself. You were doing impeccably well, considering how many papers you had to grade, but in your mind, it still wasn't enough.

It was 11:45 pm and you were currently hunched over your desk in your room. Only wearing a hoodie and some underwear, for comfort. It wasn't your hoodie, it was Marilyn's and it smelled like her. Her scent always calmed you down. She smelled like earth and a little bit of cinnamon.

What you failed to register, was that due to having a significantly lower amount of students, Marilyn would be done with her grading way before you.

She had been trying to call you since she got finished grading, but you never answered. You never even knew she was calling. When you're stressed, you put your phone on 'Do Not Disturb' so you wouldn't stress even more. She knew that and that's why she was currently on her way to find you.

She had already checked your classroom which was a dead end, so she assumed you were in your room. Making her way to your room, she bumped into Larissa.

"Ah. Larissa. How can I help you?" She asked the blonde woman, trying to get to you sooner.

"Have you seen Y/N? Everyone else has turned in their graded exams except for her." Larissa said, a tiny hint of annoyance in her tone.

"I was actually just going to check on her now..." Marilyn began, starting to say that she would update the principal in the morning, only to be cut off by said principal.

"Good. Let me know how she is progressing in the morning." Larissa said and Marilyn nodded, quickly taking off into the direction of your room.

Arriving at your door, Marilyn took a moment and then knocked. Hearing no response, Marilyn furrowed her eyebrows. You were bound to be in there, but you didn't respond. Thinking it over, it dawned on her.

"Shit." She said, taking a moment before opening your door.

Her heart shattered at the sight in front of her. You were hunched over your desk, you hair in a messy bun, all while you were furiously scribbling on the paper. Other than that, there was one telltale sign that you were too stressed to take care of yourself. Your wolf ears and tail were out. That only ever happened if you lost control of you body, usually when you're stressed, and she knew that.

Tears threatened to fall from your eyes as you stared at the paper for a moment. The word were blurry because of your exhaustion and you couldn't really see what you were trying to read.

"Y/N?" Marilyn asked and you immediately shot your head around and looked at her.

"Mari!" You exclaimed and ran into her arms.

"Y/N. Darling. What's going on?" She asked calmly and that's when the waterworks started.

"I'm such an irresponsible idiot! I've been trying so hard to grade all these stupid fucking exams but I can't do it all in the timeframe! I usually have more time and i've been spending all the time I can trying to but i'm not even halfway finished! What the fuck am I supposed to do? I can't even do my job right!" You exclaimed, sobbing into her embrace.

"Don't be silly darling. You're not irresponsible, nor are you an idiot. You're stressed. I can see that. Have you noticed that your ears and tail are out?" She asked, knowing you usually didn't.

"W-what! No! How?!-" You started but she cut you off.

"You're stressed and you're overworking yourself." She said and only then did she notice the slightly sunken in appearance of your cheeks, a clear indication that you hadn't been eating properly.

"Y/N. How long has it been since you ate?" She asked and you're eyes widened in panic.

"I- Um- I-I don't know..." You replied.

"Oh honey. Come. Let's get you something to eat and then get you some rest. I'll talk to Larissa tomorrow about giving you an extension on the deadline. Alright?" She said and you just nodded. She looked down at your outfit and a small smile appeared on her face.

"My hoodie?" She asked and you blushed a crimson red.

"Y-your scent calms me down..." You said, trying not to sound pathetic.

"That's adorable. Now go put pants on and then we'll go to my room and i'll get you something to eat. Alright?" She asked and you nodded, stepping away to put some sweatpants on.

Once your pants were on, you both made your way to her dorm. As soon as you entered, she ushered you to the bed, telling you to sit and relax while she makes something to eat.

You complied, sitting on her bed with your back against the headboard, sighing as you relaxed some.

A few minutes later, Marilyn came in with a sandwich and some apple juice. Your comfort food. You smiled at the fact that she knew you so well.

She handed you the plate and cup, and told you she just needed to get changed, and to go ahead and start eating.

She walked over to her dresser while you ate your sandwich and drank your juice. Once you were finished, you look up only to find her changed, looking at you with a smile on her face.

"What?" You asked and she just chuckled, walking over to the bed and sitting beside you.

"I just love you. That's all." She said, smiling at you.

Needless to say, you got an extension on your deadline, and were a lot less stressed.
