sorry it's kinda short!!

the next day, i woke up to birds chirping and the sun in my eyes. i got ready and went to school.

i spotted bri and riley and talked with them for a bit.

riley:"hey, guys!! wanna go to the mall tomorrow? it's saturday tomorrow, and we could get you some new clothes for huening kai.. y/n!!"

my jaw dropped. how did they find out??

brianna:"girl we see the way you look at him, you know. we're not blind."

my face turned bright red. was it really that obvious? does he know? what if his friends know? i'm so embarrassed.

"y-yeah ok.. but please don't bring it up again you're embarrassing me."

riley:"we're just being honest hon, if you want him we need to change up the look a bit!!"

i scoffed jokingly. "it isn't all about looks you know!! my personality exists!"

we all laugh.

kai's pov

taehyun:"hyuka.. just admit it!! we all know you like her."

"wha- n- no i don't!!" i stuttered.

soobin:"that stutter says otherwise!!" he laughed.

the group continued to tease me, hurting my feelings.

"she's nice! ok?? jeez, i swear it's all about looks with you guys. even if i'm the youngest.. i'm definitely the smartest."

i clenched my fists and walked away. i saw y/n speaking with her friends and i decided to go talk to her to cheer me up. i started walking toward her when the bell rang and i turned around and walked to first period, also my favorite period.. science.

y/n's pov

i saw kai start approaching me and my friends, but then the bell rang.

finally third period came and i sat next to him. the teacher announced that we would be doing a project in pairs.

usually i would pair up with riley because she's in this class too, but when he looked over to his friends pairing up without him, he looked awfully sad.

"hey, we can be partners if you want??" i said, trying to cheer him up.

he looked up and nodded happily.

huening kai:"here, i should probably give you my number for the project. we can start at my house after school."

i'm officially shell shocked. i'm getting his number!! only for the project though. i have to remember, this is only a friend thing. he gave me his number and english ended.

the rest of the day went smoothly and i met him out front of the school and we walked back to his house.

huening kai:"okay soo... how should we start??"

"well.. it's supposed to be a book report on the recent novel we just read.. but he didn't really give us any boundaries."

huening kai: "that's it!! we need to think outside of the box. something creative."

i chuckled slightly. "how can we make a book report creative??"

huening kai:"nope. nevermind. you're right." he laughed.

i got to writing while he read some quotes for reference. he and i just talked about the usual stuff and it was almost 8 pm when we finished.

i was about to go when..

huening kai: "hey do you want to stay?? the boys are coming over and i thought it would be fun if we watched a movie."

"sure but... isn't it like.. really cold in the movie room??"

huening kai:"relax! i have blankets."

the doorbell rang and soobin,taehyun,beomgyu, and yeonjun came in. we all sat down while hyuka grabbed blankets and popcorn.

soobin:"hey y/n?? we have a question."

woah. that caught me off guard. his friends don't show much interest in me or what i like. i hesitated.

"uhh.. what is it??"

soobin:"we won't tell him, but be completely honest. do you like hyuka??"

my heart skipped a beat. am i hearing him right??

"u-uhm yeah as a friend.." i laughed nervously.

soobin:"okay..'as a friend.' i get it.." he winked and i heard yeonjun let out a snicker.

i was a bit skeptical, but i ignored it. huening kai returned with everything.

huening kai:"uhh.. why does everyone look so weirded out.. wait did i cook the popcorn wrong AGAIN?!! i cannot cook for the life of me."

i giggled and shook my head. "everything is okay, and the popcorn looks fine."

huening kai:"sorry y/n, i only had enough blankets for five sooo i guess you have to share with me."

i blushed.

"okay it's fine."

he turned the movie on and put the blanket over us. midway through the movie he held onto me as the killer came out. (it was a horror movie). i blushed again, having a great time. i tried to move a bit, but then..

huening kai: "d-don't move, we'll get c-cold."

i heard the others laugh and tease him a bit. i just nodded and watched the movie. it finally finished and we got bored so taehyun brought some drinks from downstairs and we drank a lot. the night brang us to being hung over on the couch. i handed the bottle of liquor to huening kai as he finished the last drop.

huening kai: "everyone else is asleep.. so i guess you should get going."

"yea.."

huening kai:"or.. you could stay overnight?? i would love if you kept me company. i can drive you home in the morning."

i smiled."i would love to."

we talked for awhile and then i ended up falling asleep on hyuka's chest.
