TW: violence/hate

i woke up to huening kai rubbing my hair. i had been the last one to wake up.

huening kai:"finally you're awake!!"

the others laughed a bit as i looked around, obviously still hungover. i immediately put my head back down onto kai's chest and fell back asleep.

2 and a half hours later

kai shook me awake.

huening kai:"cmon y/n you've been sleeping practically all day."

that's when i realized.

"shit!! what time is it??"

beomgyu: "uhh 4 pm, why??"

"fuck. gotta go, i'm late to the mall!!"

huening kai:"dressed like that??"

my hoodie had wine all over it and my sweatpants were ripped everywhere. damn, how drunk was i?

"well i have nothing else to wear.."

huening kai suddenly sat up, making my head bang onto the couch.

"OW!" i exclaimed.

he pulled me up off the couch by the hair into his room. i screeched in pain. he handed me some girly clothes.

"thanks but... how do you have these??"

huening kai:"i stole them from my sister bahiyyih."

i laughed.

"get out, i'm changing" i remarked.

kai:"okay, okay, i'm going!!" he chuckled.

he walked out and shut the door. i changed into the clothes he had given me and called my friends.

riley:"girl where are you??"

"sorry.. kai's house.. slept over.. hung over.. it's a blur. be there in a blink!! cya!"

riley:"what are you talking ab-"

i hung up before she could finish.

"KAI CAN YOU DRIVE ME TO THE MALL?? I'M ALREADY AN HOUR LATE!!"

huening kai got up from the couch and grabbed his keys. he dropped me off at the mall.

"text me later, i'll take you and your friends back to mine"

i smiled and waved goodbye.

i walked into the mall, knowing exactly where to look for bri and riley.

kai's pov

since i had dropped y/n off at the mall, i decided i should hit up the store and grab the guys some stuff. i walked into the store. there was a group of guys watching tv. my sister, who has just debuted in the k-pop group kep1er, was on tv. she looked so beautiful. bahiyyih had never looked happier. or at least, in my eyes.

guy #1:"who the hell is she. she looks like- 14!!"

guy #2:"so pathetic and ugly."

guy #3:"how much do you bet she dies a virgin?"

they all laughed. it felt like my stomach was being ripped out. how could they talk about bahiyyih this way?? i was determined to fix this.

"hey, that isn't very nice!!"

guy #2:"what's it to you, little guy. i bet you're a pathetic loser too!!"

"just shut up!! what you're doing isn't cool!!"

guy #1:"why are you so bothered dude, you aren't even involved."

"she's my sister!! stop talking about her like that or i'll-"

my voice trailed off.

"i'll-"

shit. i need to think of something. and fast.

next thing i knew, i punched one in the face.

store clerk:"guys, guys! break it up!!"

guy #3: "let's take this outside."

they pulled me by the arm and pushed me onto the hard parking lot pavement. i tried to fight back. i really did. they just kept punching me and throwing me. i screamed and shouted for help. nobody came. this is the one moment where i felt like i needed someone, and nobody came there. i had a panic attack mid-air as one of the guys threw me. i landed hard, but i got up fast enough to get in my car safely. by the time i broke away, i knew i should get back to the mall anyway. i went on my way to pick up y/n.

y/n's pov

i had a blast at the mall with my girls. i got my nails done, and a whole new wardrobe and makeup!! i feel so happy. now i get to go home with my friends AND my crush!! kai pulled up and unlocked the door. i opened it up and sat down.

"heyyy... OH MY GOD KAI WHAT THE HELL??!" i turned around to see kai's face and body covered in scratches and bruises.

huening kai:"let's get home first. i wanna tell you and the guys all together."

i sighed in disbelief, wondering what kai had gotten himself into this time.

we walked into the house and upstairs into the cinema room, kai covering up his black eye.

the guys gasped in horror at the sight of kai.

me, brianna and riley sat down.

"kai. EXPLAIN."

huening kai:"well..i-... i went to the store to get some redbull or something and then there were some dumb motherfuckers making fun of bahiyyih and they said horrible things. i just couldn't take it anymore and i punched one of them and then they took me outside and beat me up."

my heart dropped. even if he refused to show it, i could tell hyuka was in so much pain. he laid on the couch and sobbed. i tried to comfort him.

"hey. you did what felt right. honestly, i would've done the same thing if i was you. those bitches don't deserve bahiyyih. plus, they're just a bunch of worthless haters who can't be as good as her." i whispered in his ear while running my fingers through his now messy hair.

that just made him sob even more. at the end of the night, everyone had left. it was just him and i. he fell asleep in that same spot, and i did too.

i feel like kai would get himself into something like this because he's so protective of his sisters and his friends, so i felt like this chapter was made to suit his caring personality.
