A/N: IT IS TIME.
---
At this point, Bow was so used to being betrayed that she wasn't surprised.
What did surprise her was the fact that Moonjumper had figured out both her species and home planet within the few minutes they'd talked. Meaning he knew what a Timetwister was. And probably what a timepiece was, too.
So she has to find that last timepiece fast.
But that was a problem for a later her, because at this moment, she had someone who she needed to beat the peck out of.
The Moonjumper looked very dangerous. His katana was sharp and she had already seen how fast he could move—Bow didn't have time to react when he had picked her up earlier. But it was 2 against 1, and she had the advantage.
Moonjumper raised his blade and stared down Bow, then moved. He was as fast as she expected, one moment a few feet away, and the next right in front of her. Bow dove to the side and looked up in time to see him swing at Mu, who was caught by surprise and knocked across the room. Ouch.
Bow leaped up and charged. Moonjumper whipped around and held out his other hand. Tendrils of red burst from the ground, one hitting Bow in the face, knocking her down to three health. Luckily, it had given Mu enough time to recover. She ran at Moonjumper, who had his back to her, and swung. Her stick hit his waist with a crack and broke.
Moonjumper froze. He turned to face Mu. Bow didn't see his expression, but she saw the look of terror cross Mu's face as she took a few steps back and dropped the remains of her stick.
"You... You INSOLENT CHILDREN!"
Red strings wrapped around Mu's neck and flung her across the room. She hit the wall with a sickening crack and collapsed to the floor. She did not move.
Bow turned to look at Mooonjumper, a cold feeling spreading through her chest. He was glaring daggers at her, and Bow had a very strong realization. They couldn't win this.
"You Timetwisters never change. Y-"
A small, silver dagger zipped in front of Moonjumper's face. He stumbled back. The dagger exploded when it hit the ground, releasing a mound of crystals. Several more hit the ground around him, doing the same, and locking Moonjumper in place.
"Are you KIDDING-"
Crash.
The window on the back wall shattered into thousands of pieces. A figure burst through, clad in purple, with a hood covering her face. She landed on top of the throne and jumped, doing a flip before landing gracefully in front of Moonjumper. She stood tall, staring him down.
"You," He spat.
"Thought I'd stop by," The figure responded. Her voice was cold. She summoned another dagger and ran her finger along the edge. Her eyes met Bow's for a moment, then looked at Mu, and then back to the Moonjumper. "Seems like perfect timing."
Moonjumper raised his katana and swung it. The crystals preventing him from moving shattered. "How dare you. Do you know how long it takes me to fix that window?"
"Long enough to keep you out of my hair for a while."
"Couldn't you use the door? Like a normal person?"
"Didn't you hear me? It keeps you from bothering me!"
The Moonjumper leaped at the figure and swung his blade down. She summoned a dagger in her other hand and parried the attack, then ducked and ran behind him, dropping another of her daggers. It burst into crystals immediately when it hit the floor, but Moonjumper was prepared. He moved to the side and shot a barrage of strings at her, most of which she cut down. A few wrapped around her legs. The Moonjumper closed his fist and the strings tightened, knocking the figure off of her feet. She retaliated by summoning a dagger beneath his hand and stabbing him through the wrist. He howled, and she used that opening to cut the rest of the strings and run over to Bow.
