Megan's POV
About a month into my new life in Nashville, I decide to go to a bar to sing some of my music for people in the hopes of picking up some fans.

I knock back a shot of whiskey to help with nerves and walk up on the small stage.

"Good evening everybody. I'm Megan Moroney and tonight I'm gonna sing some original songs that I wrote. I hope you like them," I say into the microphone.

I start strumming my guitar and then begin singing the first song that's called Hair Salon.

"I called up Bernadette, she had a 10 am.
Thank God she had the time to squeeze me in.
My blonde was getting brassy, my roots were coming in."

"I let her do the talkin', let her spill the tea.
I pay for the colour but the dramas free.
It's usually nothin' special
Nothin' concerning me."

"Well Casey's having a baby,
The high school football team won state,
And my best friend's mama's husband is sleeping around.
Everybody's up to something.
I heard your name from three chairs down."

"They said you bought a ring
And you found the one.
Now I'm heartbroken.
Heartbroken in a hair salon."

"I'm lookin' out the window, hoping they don't see the tear in my eye, I can hardly breathe
In the last place I thought you'd never get to me."

"Pretend I'm listenin' as she goes on and on.
Don't care who's selling weed to the preacher's son, I'm stuck on how you moved on.
Guess it's a damn good day to go blonde."

"Cus Casey's having a baby,
The high school football team won state,
And my best friend's mama's husband is sleeping around.
Everybody's up to something.
I heard your name from three chairs down."

"They said you bought a ring
And you found the one.
Now I'm heartbroken.
Heartbroken in a hair salon."

"Maybe I'm just crazy for
Thinking you'd come back around.
I guess first loves don't always work out."

"But at least Casey's having a baby,
The high school football team won state,
And it's always happy hour at the bar downtown.
I'll just drink till I feel nothing.
I heard your name from three chairs down."

"They said you bought a ring
And you found the one.
Never thought I'd be
Heartbroken in a hair salon,
Heartbroken in a hair salon."

When I'm finished singing, everyone in the bar cheers for me so I start singing more songs.

When I'm halfway through my third song, something draws people's attention away from me and I'm not sure what it is.

I sling my guitar behind my back and get down from the stage to see what all the commotion is. When I am finally able to push through, I realize that my ten minutes of fame were ruined by none other than Morgan Wallen himself.

Now normally I don't hate people, especially country stars since I'm a rising star myself, but my first impression of Morgan is that he's a glory hog who cares only about himself. But, while he seems to be bathing in the lime light, his friend Hardy seems to be annoyed by the huge crowd.

I've heard of Hardy before. He writes songs for just about every country singer on top of writing songs for himself. He seems to be a decent guy and I would love to get to know him.

I push through the crowd until I'm standing right in front of Morgan. I cross my arms over my chest and look him up and down to get my best read on him while he's looking me up and down like he's undressing me in his mind which makes me despise him even more.
