Wishing on a shooting star
Used to lead me down there
Now you came with nothing but a feeling
One that you could never explain to me
All the ways you make me feel
All the spaces you'd keep for me
All the places you created safely
Never knew how much I'd missed it
I've lost everything
Along with the heart that's dying
But you stayed here just to rub my hair
And all the laughter we would share
I've grown to defend myself all the time
From all the stares and all the heartache
Carrying the weights of the world at night
Now all my baggage fading in a glance
Said nothing last forever
But you came at night
To talk about the days that get tired
And it felt like forever
Been months ever since
But you stayed the same
Looking at all of these familiar feelings
Wrapped up in a heart that's healing

Lovers at the Premiere Theater (Mini Poetry Collection)
PoetryStory of lovers that begins with insecurities of the future and ended with a reminiscence of history that separated the magic altogether. Was it truly the circumstances that got them here? or was the love never really there in the first place?
