In the corner of a cafe
Where you used to sit
For the sip of little caffeine
To ease the bone who's in pain
Working for the Sunday
Leaving church and never coming back
Endless text from a burden
One that screams for a closure
It's a story about a boy
Who never regrets his decision
To leave something behind
One that stopped him from running
All the breath you take
All the energy you faked
Must be tiring being a stranger
Craving memories to bury one that lingers
Many trips to mini mart won't cover this
All the times we crossed each other's paths
And the empty stare we throw in fear
We could've been a great love story by then
Time moved too fast
For a man that never cared to look back
To check up the empty corner at the cafe
Where the time would stop for a lifetime
Time never moved
For someone who hides behind a corner
With nothing but broken cup and a hope
Waiting for the future that would've been
