: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*27: Step One, Break Trust
—: *✧・゚:*:・゚✧*:—
~If it's one thing about relationships that Nini knew, it's that trust is always number one.
And Kenma looks like the kind of guy who values trust more than anything.
Which she's right, he is.
Especially if he gets jealous pretty easily when it comes to Y/N.
So really, all she had to do was break that trust.
Which really shouldn't be too hard. Y/N has no girl friends. Her only friends were really only Kenma and Kuroo.
But now that Kenmas her lover, technically Kuroo is her only friend. And honestly,
It's perfect.
There's nothing more heartbreaking than catching your s/o cheat with your best friend.
Well, it'll be framed but what's the difference?
All that matters is that Kenma told her cheating is unforgivable. She just has to make this as believable as possible for Kenma to break up with her.
She walked out into the courtyard while coming up with a plan until she heard talking. Her head perked up and she saw Y/N and Kuroo sitting on a bench.
Nini smiled to herself. This was going to be so easy.
They're making this easy.
She couldn't really hear what they were talking about but by the way Kuroo was looking at her, Nini could tell he's clearly infatuated with her.
It looked like Y/N was just talking her head off and Kuroo was smiling and nodding.
Nini pulled out her phone and took a couple pictures before regaining her composure and walking right passed them to go home.
Y/N's eyes watched as she left, "Look Kuroo, that's the bitch that's trying to take my Kenma."
Kuroo laughed, "Hey, don't get distracted. We're planning something here."
"Right! Anyway, as i was saying, it doesn't have to be something big because obviously our dear Kenma doesn't like big crowds so maybe for his birthday surprise it could just be the team and his friend Shoyo? Whoever that is."
The captain hummed a bit, "Definitely! This is really nice of you. You know, taking his personality and all into consideration. If I were planning this, i definitely would've invited a lot of people. Oh! Speaking of inviting, should we invite Bokuto and Akaashi?"
She shook her head, "As much as I love them, i don't think that's a good idea. Bokutos loud and Akaashi.... Let's just say Kenma won't have a good time with him there."
"Huh? Why? What, did you guys fuck or something?" He said with a small laugh.
But the more he looked at her blank stare, he knew he said exactly what she did. His eyes widened, "Really!? When!?"
"Last year. It was a small fling. But! It doesn't matter. Kenma wasn't to happy when I told him though so my suggestion in not inviting them still stands."
"Fine, fine. So how are we supposed to surprise him if he's home all day?"
"You just gave the answer. Like you said, Kenmas home all day! This will be the easiest surprise party ever. We can just set everything up at my house."
"You're so right." He said while standing up, "We'll talk more about this later but I gotta head home now. Wanna walk with me?"
"Nah, i gotta wait for Kenma. He should be out soon. Thanks for helping me with this though. And please, don't let this slip to him. Please."
Kuroo pretended to zip his lips shut, "I swear I won't. But, I also don't cause Kenma and I get drunk from time to time for shits n giggles and things slip out so if it does then sorryyy."
Y/N groaned, "I'm serious! Hold off on drinking with him till after his birthday!"
The bedhead boy just laughed at her and walked away, leaving her with a frown on her face. Not long after he left, Kenma came out,
"Hey. Sorry about the wait. I had to make something up that I forgot I had to do. Ready to go home?"
She nodded as she stood up, immediately slipping her hand into his.
"So, your birthday is in a few weeks. Any plans?" She asked him with a sweet smile.
He shrugged, "Probably not. I don't really do things on my birthday. Kuroo usually just gets me a cupcake or something. Maybe we can hang out though?"
She laughed, "Maybe?"
"Well, not 'maybe' but I don't know if you're doing anything around that time. Of course i'd love to spend my birthday with my girlfriend."
"Why would I be busy on your bithday? that's like one of the most important holidays to me now."
Kenma gave her a small smile, "Youre silly. It's just a birthday. It's not that big of a deal."
Y/N wrapped both her arms around his, "I love birthdays. Me personally, if you forgot my birthday, I'd never forgive you."
"Ouch. Harsh."
The two laughed and continued their walk home. At least now she knows Kenma isn't expecting anything on his special day.
She can't wait to surprise him.
