A High School Student Again

Chapter- 3

Today was the first day of school and Cale wasn't very happy about it.

He has to get early and get dressed. He didn't like leaving his bed but here we are. Standing in front of school building.

Roan insisted on sending them so they drove a mini van.

Cale was sitting on right side and Eruhaben was sitting on left side. Roan transformed in child form and was sitting opposite from Eruhaben. Choi Han was sitting opposite Cale.

Cale told Roan to transform into a human whenever there was someone else. It wasn't a good thing to see a mythical being roaming around. Who knows what might happen to Roan if someone sees him.

Roan listened to Cale and transformed into his 4yrs old self.

After a short drive they reached the school.

The driver got out and opened the gate. Choi Han got out first and extended his hand to help Cale.

'This isn't a carriage'

Cale sighed and took his hand.

When Cale got out he saw that the students hitched their breath.

He then waved Roan goodbye and turned.

As soon as he turned he saw students started to whisper. Some were even squealling.

He heard "Unlucky Bastard" from behind and gave Choi Han a questioning look. Choi Han just gave him an innocent smile.

Cale shrugged and made his way to his class.

As soon as Cale walked away Choi Han gave a threatening glare to everyone making them quite.

Inside the class:-

Cale sat on the last seat near the window. He plopped his bag on the table. He didn't like the noisy atmosphere so he decided to take a nap.

"Choi Han wake me up when teacher comes"

He said placed his head on his bag.

Seconds later he placed his head down the class became quite. Cale was confused but he ignored it.

After a while the commotion raised again but his time it was not as loud as before. There only whispers and murmurs.

He felt the chairs in front of him move.

Seconds after that another commotion came but Cale was fast asleep. Choi Han was smiling happily seeing his precious Cale nim enjoy the nap.

But this atmosphere didn't last long. A white haired student came to their desk.

"Hey who's Cale?"

"What do you want to do with Cale-nim?"

Choi Han asked. His smile was nowhere to be seen.

"I'm Eun Jiho. I want to talk to him about taking first place in the exam."

The student said with a confident look.

"And?"

Choi Han asked. Because to him, such a trivial matter isn't worth waking up Cale-nim.

"Pfft-"

A sound of muffled laughing came from a student who was sitting before them. He had honey brown hair.

Choi Han ignored him and looked at the white haired boy.

"Cale-nim is sleeping, don't disturb him. Please go back."

Choi Han glared at him. The boy flinched and muttered something bore sitting on his seat. And his seat, much to Choi Han's annoyance was before them.

After some time the teacher came and started the class. Choi Han also woke Cale up.

The rest of the school was ok except from wierd stares Cale received.

And there's one more thing Cale discovered, I e., Choi Han was very bad at academics. Especially maths and science. So Cake decided to tutor him.

One day while going back home Cale spotted a girl crying near the alleyway. It was getting late and wasn't safe for her to go alone. So he offered to send her back. The girl hesitantly nodded and sat opposite Choi Han.

Cale asked her address and ordered the driver to drive there.

Cale noticed her tears and offered her a handkerchief.

"I'm Cale and he's Choi Han"

Cale introduced him and Choi Han.

Choi Han gave her a smile.

"I'm Ban Yoeryong"

She took the handkerchief and thank him.

There was silence again.

"M-My only childhood friend isn't talking to me. S-She's ignoring me and didn't even answer my calls or texts. S-She is my only friend."

Yoeryong explained.

"It's ok, she'll come around"

"B-But she's even hanging out with someone who spread bad rumours about me. Now everyone talks about how bad and two faces I am."

Yeoryong bursted into tears again.

Cale looked at her crying and Choi Han who was trying to calm her down.

He opened his mouth.

"The rumours doesn't define you. If you always pay attention to them then you'll never be able to live peacefully."

He said looking outside the window.

"Everyone has a mouth and you can't shut them up. But that doesn't mean that won't hurt, it'll hurt. Like now. But you have to tough up. The more vulnerable you are the more happy they'll be."

He turned to her.

"So instead of having them the pleasure of seeing you cry,"

And said with a smirk.

"go and smack their heads."

He then plopped his head on his left hand.

"And as for your friend. You have to talk seriously and tell her how much it's hurting you. If she really is your friend then I'm sure she'll understand. If not then you need to cut her off."

He tilted his head.

"You'll meet plenty of people in the future. Who doesn't meet a load of shitty people in their life. I'm sure it'll be better."

He said and turned his head back towards the window.

'That should be fine to keep her down'

Cale didn't like how the girl was crying and he was annoyed when he heard that someone was making rumours about someone.

Words can really hurt. He had experienced that firsthand. And besides the girl was too young to experience such things. So he gave her an advice.

"And if you something, you can ask me"

Cale didn't wanted the young girl in front of him to take any drastic measures so he even offered her help.

Satisfied at now calm girl he decided to focus outside the window, which is why he didn't saw the sparkling eyes of Choi Han and Yeoryong.

When they both got home Choi Han told Eruhaben what happened.

In reply, Eruhaben just tch'ed and said,

"Unlucky bastard"

Leaving Cale confused on what he had done now.
