A High School Student Again

Chapter- 31

As Cale expected, the rumors of Dan-i and Yeoming meeting has spread all around the school. Dan-i was getting verbally abused by all the students. Thankfully Alberu and Cale made sure that this doesn't get to her. They were guarding her pretty well. 

Meanwhile Juin and Ron were trying to find all the evidence against Choi Yuri and her father's company. Cale's lawyers were also on standby. They would take action as soon as they  got the evidence. 

It was taking some time since Choi Yuri has not directly taken any big action. The ones she personally did were not severe enough to punish her. At most she would be suspended from school and mover to another, get a reprimand and something like that. They were not enough to teach her. 

Choi Yuri even tried to sabotage Dan-i while they were eating their lunch. 

Cale's lunch always get delivered from home. Alberu and Choi han also eat with Cale but sometimes they eat separately due to their duties. Choi han was the sports captain and Alberu was the student council president. 

Normally the school would not choose from the first year students but Alberu and Choi han were too good. Cale was also asked to take up a duty in the council but he refused. He wanted to slack not work.

Today Choi han and Alberu were not present. Cale was eating lunch with his classmates. He was greeted with Beacrox's tasty food. Beacrox has made some extra for Dan-i on Cale's order as she tends to eat more when she's stressed.

As he expected Dan-i ate food from his lunch box. They ate their lunch trying to ignore the drilling gazes people trying to shoot at Dan-i. It was soo intense that she even choked had it not been for Ruda giving her something to drink. 

They finished their lunch and were heading back when Choi Yuri stopped them. She started accusing Dan-i of spreading lies about Yeoryeong. She asked how could Dan-i live so peacefully knowing what she doing to Yeoryeong. Dan-i was trying to ignore her but she couldn't since everyone else also started whispering.

Dan-i stood in a trance, her eyes shaking not knowing what to do. 

"Ha"

She scoffed at the ridiculous remarks Choi Yuri was making. She tried to pretend to be unbothered but Cale knew that it was getting it to her. 

"Who are you to ask this from her?"

Cale questioned as he put his hand on Dan-i's shoulder trying to reassure her. Dan-i snapped out of her trance and looked at Cale.

Choi Yuri looked at Cale who questioned her.

"I'm Yeoryeong's friend-"

"Classmate"

Choi Yuri tried to answer but was cut off by Cale.

"You are her classmate, not friend"

After the incident of Yeoryeong getting those messages at retreat Cale asked her to distance herself from Choi Yuri. Yeoryeong was always vary of Choi Yuri after that and refused being her friend. She was fuming with anger when she get to know that Yuri was behind all of this. She thanked Cale for warning her otherwise she would've been fooled by Yuri who looked like Dan-i.

"Do you really think that by dressing up as Dan-i and behaving like her would make you friends with Yeoryeong"

Cale hit her at the point he knew would hurt her. Cale has noticed the subtle details how she tries to act as Dan-i and get close to Yeoryeong. 

The students in the cafeteria looked at Dan-i and Choi Yuri simultaneously, trying to compare the two as Choi Yuri's face turn pale.

"Maybe if you change a bit more like Dan-i the heavenly kings will pay attention to you. For starters-"
