"So this is the famous dick Grayson" amari smirked as he stood up from his spot on the couch as dick enter the living room of Bruce's mansion
"Ur hotter in person not gonna lie" Amari looked dick up and down,Bruce glared at Amari while dick just let out an amuse chuckle "I'm also way to old for you"
"Age ain't nothing but a number" amari bit his lip at dick. Bruce cleared his throat loudly glaring at amari
"what I'm just sayin" amari rolled his eyes at Bruce. Dick chuckled " so you must be amari" dick joked "oh so you heard about me" Amari smirked at him
"Amari" Bruce warned "ok ok I'm just joking old man" Amari huffed and plopped back down on the couch
"So this is ur new robin?" Dick asked Bruce "no..." of course before Bruce finished his sentence Amari interrupted "I ain't no robin im something much better" Amari scoffed flipping his blonde braids out the way
"Ok which is..."dick stared at him waiting for an answered "well I haven't come up with a name yet but when I do I'll let you know" dick chuckled Bruce sighed "Amari go get ur things ready while I talk to dick"
"They'll already ready" Amari snapped his fingers and within seconds all his bags appeared beside him . Dick eyes grew wide, he was startled by what Amari just did.
"Ok then go check to see if u missed anything I would like to talk to dick...alone"Bruce Told him making the alone part very clear
"Ok ok y'all go head I'll leave" Amari said putting his hands up in a surrendering motion before leaving the room
"Well...he seems like a handful"
Bruce sighs "you have no idea" dick chuckled
"So do you have a reason ur shipping him off with us not that it's a problem but it's a little unexpected"
"Well... I just feel like he needs to socialize with kids his own age and kids that he can relate to with the whole superhero thing, Amari's....been thru a lot"
"I know I read his file"
"Look when I first met amari he wouldnt talk, he was still on the streets, he was angry...but now... he's a ball of energy he's somewhat happy and I have to admit I didn't think I would care about him as much as I do as harsh as that sounds, I know I fuckt up with you and Jason big time but with Amari... I actually feel like I did something right" Bruce finished and sighed deeply
"Wow bruce that was deep honestly surprised it came from ur mouth" dick nodded his head shocked
"Kid really did make you soft" dick smirked knowing what he said would make Bruce irritated
"Don't ever expect me to say some shit like that again, and don't tell him I said that he'll hold it over my head till I die" dick chuckled shaking his head
"Amari you ready" Bruce shouted out "yea" Amari walked into the living room "I'm gonna miss ur grumpy ass"Amari told Bruce as he hugged him , Bruce let out a small smile "I'm gonna miss you to" Bruce told him wrapping his arms around him hugging Amari back
Dick stood there in complete shock,he never seen Bruce this affectionate with anyone yet alone a kid he picked up off the street
"Alright enough hugging" Bruce said as he pulled away from Amari "well it was nice while it lasted" Amari smiled, he lifted up his hand making a swift motion
And right before dicks eyes his luggage and bags were floating mid air behind him
Now it's not the luggage floating that shock dick it was the fact that Amari just did it so smoothly, it took Rachel a few years to learn how to use her powers so smoothly and even now she still can't control them all the way
"You ready sexy" Amari asked walking pass dick and his luggage following "dick is off limits Amari" Bruce shouted out "yea yea whateva" Amari replied walking out the door and made his way to the car that was taking them back to the airport
"Is it to late to change my mind" dick asked Bruce jokingly
"No take backs" dick chuckled, dick turned around and make his way to the car
"Hey dick" Bruce shouted out,causing dick to turn around "be safe" dick let out a small smile and nodded his head and shut the door
"Are you coming it's hot as fuck in here" Amari yelled out as he appear from the sun roof
Dick chuckled "I'm coming I'm coming" he jogged his way to the car
"About time I'm sweating my eyelashes off" Amari said plopping down in his seat and closing the sunroof
"Yep the team is definitely gonna like you" dick smiled at Amari "PERIODT" Amari smirked and leaned back into his seat
