"What the hell Wells! You could've killed me because you were playing hero, failing miserably by the way. You're a shit shot." - Eden 'Queen' Sydney

The night was calm, and everyone slept through the night under their tents, and the fire soon flickered out as the wind came through. I was up before the sun crept up behind the mountain, leaving Avalon and Amillea to sleep and snuggle into each other.

A few unfortunate people were sleeping around the fire, some up in the trees and the rest of them in the dropship if they didn't get a tent.

I had explored in the early morning since everyone would be asleep; I kept my eye on the treeline as I silently stepped through the forest with a knife in hand. I wouldn't die from something stupid like a stab-happy grounder on day one.

I had reached the closest river, crouched next to it, pebbles digging into my skin, washed the dirt off my face, and filled up the waterskin they made that night from the dropship seats.

The water was cool on my skin, and the wind blew against it, making it colder. After sitting there and finally taking everything in, I packed the leather waterskin up and trekked back to the dropship.

When I returned to the camp, a few people were up and awake, and I nodded at a few as I walked by. I lifted the sheet that acted as a door up, walked in, and saw Avalon awake, her back leaning against the 'bed' and dwindling a long piece of wood that no doubt would become a bow.

I placed the waterskin near her, and she nodded in thanks, stopping to take a sip. I pulled my jacket off and placed it on Ameillia, who was still asleep.

"Find anything out there?" Avalon asked softly, and I sat beside her, propping my leg up, grabbing a piece of wood, and helping make some arrows. I shook my head, "There's a river half a k east. Didn't see anyone, but I know someone is watching us; I felt them last night."
