Four days had passed after the Lincoln debacle and guns had been circulated through the group. Gun handling lessons, maintenance and faux training had been established and armed patrols had been set up with the wall standing tall. Due to the low amount of bullets which Raven had been tasked to rectify most of the one hundred hadn't shot a real bullet but they all now knew how to handle one which was the best Eden could do - Bellamy and Marlow handled most of the training.
It was also Unity Day, a celebrative day when the stations joined together and 'peace' was achieved, it was one of the most important days for the Ark. It was also a holiday for the Ark where most of the people didn't have to work and spent the day drinking and having fun with their families and friends. Since Moonshine was pretty scarce on the Ark and making it in your rooms could lead to your arrest most kids hadn't drunk it. But Monty had come to the recuse and was passing it around by the gallon as Jaha's voice echoed through the radio with his Unity Day speech.
"My friends, this is a historic Unity Day. Every year, we mark the moment our ancestors of the twelve stations joined to form the Ark, but this is the last time we do so while aboard her. Next year, on the ground." Chancellor Jaha spoke loudly with his soft-spoken voice that projected throughout the camp and the Ark station. There were less then twenty people huddled around the makeshift computer screen Raven had made while others mingled around under the morning dew.
"Right, after we did all the work. Someone shut him up." Miller said with a roll of his eyes.
"Shut up, Miller. No one's forcing you to watch," Raven told him annoyed as she focused back on the speech, "For ninety-seven years, we have eked out an existence, hoping that someday our descendants would return to Earth."
