~Location: Cafeteria ~ POV: Dead Chandelier - Third Person~

"Ah! Headmage Crowley...!" Ace had a pensive look on his face. "YOU. THREE. AGAIN. What have you done this time?!" Crowley asked, as if he could not believe that the chandelier before him was broken. Grim hid behind Deuce, trying to show that he had no part in this, and yet it only made him look more guilty. "Burning a statue wasn't enough for you? Now you've destroyed a chandelier?!" Crowley said, having just about enough of this damaged of property. "Enough. All of you are expelled.

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!" Deuce, and Ace said in union. Being expelled on the first day is definitely not how you want your school life to start. "Headmage, please! Give me a second chance! I can't get expelled from this school! I need to be here!" Deuce pleaded, hoping for just even a little chance to redeem himself. "Then blame yourself for your own foolish behavior." Crowley said, not having it.

Deuce was persistent on his pleads though. "I'll pay for the damages! However much it costs!"  "That chandelier is no mere light fixture. It is a magical chandelier. Its candles are powered by a magical energy source, enchanted so that they will burn for eternity. It was created for us by a legendary artificer. Possibly their finest creation. It has been here since the school was established, and I imagined it would be here forevermore. Considering its historical value, I would estimate its worth to be no less than a billion thaumarks. And you intend to repay that sum?" Crowley explained, not expecting the troublemakers to pay for such a thing.

Ace, and Deuce looked flabbergasted. "A... A billion marks?!" Deuce said, sighing. "B-But I'm sure with your magical talent, sir, you could snap your fingers and fix it right up!" Ace said, hoping that he, and Deuce would not be forever in debt, tirelessly working to give back what was lost since the first day of school.

Crowley lightly shook his head, sighing. "Even magic has its limits. Furthermore, its magestone --- the figurative heart of any magical artifact --- is cracked. A magestone cannot easily be replaced. I fear the candles of this majestic chandelier will never burn again." Crowley said, as if all hope was lost. "This is bad..." Ace muttered. "What am I going to do?! How am I going to tell my mother...?" Deuce mumbled.

"Ah...! But there may be one way. One tiny sliver of a chance to repair this chandelier." Crowley said, like that one person in a movie, or show that reveals a small chance of making things right. "There is?!" Ace, and Deuce asked. "The magestone that powered this chandelier was mined from the Dwarfs' Mine. If you can acquire a magestone with the same properties, it may be possible to repair it." Crowley explained.

Deuce put a fist over his chest. "Then I'll go find a magestone! With your permission, sir!" Deuce said, fully ready to do whatever it takes to stop him from getting expelled. "I should caution you that I cannot promise there yet remain magestones to find. The mines were closed quite some time ago. It is quite likely that all of the magestones have already been mined." Crowley said, slightly crushing their chances to avoid getting expelled.

Deuce, never ready to give up persistence. "I will do anything to avoid expulsion, sir!" Deuce pleaded. "Hmmm... Very well, then. I will suspend your expulsion for a single night. But if you fail to return with a magestone by morning, then all of you are expelled." Crowley said. "I understand, sir. Thank you very much for this opportunity!" Deuce said, ready to get a magestone. Ace, however seemed less enthusiastic about it. "*Sigh*  Fine, then. Let's hurry down there, find a magestone, and get this whole thing done with."

Suddenly, [Name] began to stir, tired of laying on the ground with part of the chandelier pinning them down. [Name] angrily shoved off the piece of the chandelier, and stood up to full height, huffing at partially being crushed by a chandelier.  "You should be able to reach the Dwarf's Mine instantly by using one of the gates in the Mirror Chamber."
