Tsukasa POV:
I got bored with my family always ignoring me and decided to go into the forest near my house for a bit.

I walked in and some leaves rustled as the birds flew out. I admired the scenery as I walked around. The daisies and Rose bushes were beautiful and blooming perfectly. I picked a few flowers to make a flower crown and put it on when I had finished.

I continue to wonder, my eyes taking in everything around me. Eventually I come across a small flowing creek. There were a few frogs and harmless snakes.

I was lost in thought when I heard a small crunch behind me followed by a small, cautious, gasp.

I turn to see a small boy around my age. His eyes were a glossy golden colour, clearly an indication that the boy had been crying. He had matted and messy purple hair. His body was what concerned me though.

He had a shirt that was torn, not good for freezing winter weather like now. His body was exposed since he was also wearing shorts and he was quite skinny, malnourished? I think that's the word.

He looks at me and I look back at him. I give a gentle smile and wave. He looks confused and waves back. I turn back to the creek and reach my hand down for one of the snakes. Thinking the boy had just left, I hummed a small tune to myself.

I felt a small weight on my shoulder and a freezing sensation touch the hand I currently wasn't using. I look over and they boy had placed himself next to me, head leaning on my shoulder.

"Hello! What's your name?" I asked gently, trying to sound friendly but also, trying to get information out of him. He didn't answer. He just looked down and avoided eye contact.

I took the hand he had touched and used it to caress his cheek a bit. He eased into the touch, a small, gentle, smile spreading across his face.

"Hey, can you talk..?" I asked.

He nodded.

"So, what's your name?" I asked.

"Rui..." a small whisper that was barley audible.

"Rui?" I say. He looks up. I boop his nose and giggle. "That's a cute name!"

He smiles and nuzzled his head into my neck.

"What's your name?" He asked. Again, a small whisper, it was barely audible.

"Tsukasa Tenma! I like to call myself a world's future star!" I say happily. He flinches at the loud tone but melts into my shoulder when I finish speaking.

"Tsukasa... pretty." He mumbled. I kiss his head, something I've grown to doing to my siblings or anyone close to me when I'm happy.

"Do you have a home? Or.. anyone to stay with?" I ask. He shook his head.

"Would you like to come with me?" He shook his head once more. I grew a bit confused. "How come?"

"I like.. the.... Place. Here." He says. It was clear he didn't know a lot of words or what some of them mean.

"Ahh okay.." I kiss his head once more. "Would you like me to come here more often?" I asked.

"Yes.." he mutters.

"Okay, I'll come back tomorrow, same time?"

"Yea.." he nuzzled himself into my neck.

"Well I have to go now, but I'll see you tomorrow yea?"

"Mhm."

"Okay, see you!" I say as I kiss his head once more and leave.

I continue visiting Rui. Sometimes he'd be at the creek in tears, sometimes he'd have a new bruise. Or sometimes he'd just 'forget' to show up.

I walked into the forest to hear a shriek. I know Rui well enough to know that it was him who screamed. I rush into the forest to see a small limping boy. He was burnt on one side of his face, badly, and his arm was scarred everywhere with little cuts and even more burns.

I wanted to run and scoop him into a hug but I knew better than that. I didn't want to hurt him more.

"My goodness! Rui!" I rushed over to him and checked his arm then his face. His face was burnt badly (Think of shredder from teenage mutant ninja turtles).

"Tsu-ka-sa.. KASA-KUN!" He screamed suddenly which caught me off guard but he started crying harder.

"Hey hey, it's alright.. can I hold you around the waist or does that hurt?" I panic a bit but I can do this.

He smushed himself into my hold and gasped a bit when he remembered his face was burnt. He rested his head on my shoulder and I hold his waist.

"Here, come with me." I tell him.

I walked him out of the forest and felt a bit bad when he winced at the sunlight. His eyes were closed and he looked scared. I didn't want to scare him by taking him somewhere with a lot of people, so I took him to my house.

When we got there I was greeted by Saki and Touya.

"Hi Onii-chan! Who's that?" My sister says.

"This is Rui, the boy I've been talking about." I reply.

"What happened?!" Touya says as he rushed down the stairs.

"I'm not sure.. I'm taking him to my room. If you guys need anything just call me, love you." I said as I walked Rui to my room.

I lied him down on my bed and got some water for him. I bandaged up his face (I know I your not supposed to bandage burns but pretend you are.) and kissed the part of his forehead that wasn't burnt.

"What happened my dear?" I asked concerned.

"My f-family.."

"I thought you said you don't live with anyone?"

"I don't, they found me and used me for labour. They also used me like their little test subject."

Poor guy. I kissed his head once again and pulled him closer to me. "You'll be okay, I promise."

"ONII-CHAN! I MADE FOOD FOR YOU AND YOUR FRIEND!" Saki yells from downstairs. Rui flinches at the loud noise but still makes an effort to get up. So do I and we walked downstairs.

We get down there and she puts cupcakes on the table.

"Chocolate, vanilla and lemon." She says as she points to each tray.

"??" Rui had a bit of confusion on his face.

"It's just different flavors. You can choose which one you want." Touya says.

"Oh right, I forgot you live in a forest.. hehe sorry!" Saki says as she walks back into the kitchen to clean up.

It's been two years, Rui's been living with me for a while now. His burns have healed up and he looks good but he's always been hiding something.

He's always been very shaky. Ever since I met him, I thought originally it was because of winter, or maybe he was just cold a lot. But the shaking never stopped. Even in summer he was a shaky mess.

I never figured out what it was, but he was always calm around me and I decided not to push because I didn't want tot make him uncomfortable.

A/N: I didn't know how to end it, sorry.
I might make a part two, but don't count on it.
