it was december 24th, christmas eve AND exactly a week before my birthday
i was up in my room getting dolled up, since we all decided to spend christmas at haos house, having a party and then sleeping over. crazy how it's been a bit over two months since i joined my school, met some amazing people and now was getting ready to spend christmas with them
this was the first christmas where me and jiwoong wouldn't be spending it alone in years
it was one of my favourite holidays, but also one of the hardest ones to have without my mother here, since it was her all time favourite holiday
she always made these special cookies for us to eat while she read us a christmas book. me and my brother still did that tradition to this day, baking those cookies on the 25th and reading one of my moms favourite christmas books while opening presents
this year was gonna be a bit different since we'd be spending it with our friends, but i was excited and looked forward to it
christmas songs filled my room, while i sat at my vanity, doing my makeup whilst singing along
whilst finishing up my christmas themed eyeliner, my phone starts ringing, so i pick it up and answer
"hi ji what's up?"
"hey jaejae, ill be home in like 30 minutes. will you be ready by then?"
"oh yes! im just finishing up my makeup and i need to pick out an outfit but ofc"
"great, come outside when you're ready so i can pick you up and we'll go to haos"
"okay!"
"great, bye jae"
"byebye ji"
as i end the call, setting an alarm for 25 minutes so i don't get carried away, i quickly apply some light pink lipstick before hurrying off to my closet
there were so many options, but i settled for a black miniskirt, tights and a white cropped sweater
looking in the mirror, i take a few selfies and decide to send them to my friends
