Tae's mom was biting her nails, a habit that's really bad when you're extremely nervous. But she's even worse than me when I'm nervous. He told everything on the phone when we went to pick her up. Now that I see her face, I could imagine how she'd look like behind the screen.

"I cannot believe what she said to you, how could a mother degrade her daughter like that," Mom hissed, looking at Taehyung that was driving to my parents' house and then back at me. I was in the back seat, watching them. "I can understand a disapproval but not even hearing my son's name and not accepting her daughter's passion, I can't tolerate that."

"That is why we're going to see her, so we can get her approval and her apology." His determined voice made my heart at ease. I was glad that there was other people who support me, not only my father and my boyfriend but her mother too, who accepted me before even knowing me.

Maybe it's her nature to be this nice and I love it. I'll make sure that I won't disappoint her. A mother-in-law like her is so rare and I'm willing to cherish her.

There was silence. Then I felt her looking at me. I looked up and I smiled at her. She smiled back but it was different somewhat worriedly. I try not to ask anything but I feel like she wanted to talk to Tae about it.

We arrived in front of my house. I was the first one to get out. I went beside Tae, who was still inside, he rolled down the window and told me to wait for me. I nodded, catching a glimpse of his mother who gave me a warm smile.

"It won't take long, but wait, don't go inside alone," Tae warned me playfully, I rolled my eyes, waking away from his car.

I stood far away from them, but still observing them. Their lips were moving too fast. I couldn't identify one word from them. I occasionally had Tae giving me looks but then he stopped, concentrating on his mother. He looked frustrated. He kept touching his forehead as my fingers tighten on the hem on my sleeve. I wanted to know so badly what they were so worried about, to the point I had to be so far away.

Taehyung was the one who got out of the car to open the door for Mom. They walked towards me with both of them smiling at me. I shut my mouth, stopping myself from asking.

I rang the bell and waited for Father to open the door. He opens it and welcomes us warmly. Before that, he whispers, "She's eating her favourite dessert, tiramisu."

"Okay?" Taehyung almost laughs.

Father tapped his shoulder, "This means that she should be less stubborn and bit more open-minded. You must be Taehyung's mother, welcome!"

I let Mom walk in first and then I went in followed by Taehyung. Taking off my jacket, I try to see if Mother was around the corner. And there she was, sitting on the couch, the plate on top of her hand as she eats slowly with the spoon.

She didn't bother greeting Taehyung or Mom, yet she continued to be ignorant. I felt almost embarrassed to say that she's my mother at this moment.

I sat down between Taehyung and his mother. My fingers curling on my thighs as I watch my father get two cups of water for the people beside me. Biting my lip, I felt Taehyung's arm around my waist, pulling me towards him.

"Don't be scared, today is the day you let out everything you have against your mother, not only this approval but everything in the past, including Lucas, okay?" He murmured, then later kissing my ear. I nodded, feeling his arm leaving my body.

Dad plopped down on the couch beside Mother. He smiled, rubbing his hands together. Another habit that he does when he doesn't know what to do. Taehyung seems to notice it and he began talking.
